Are you still buying backlink packages?

Have you noticed a surge in backlinks providers? Apart from newbie bloggers who offer backlinking services through DP forum, a few are further encouraged to put up a website selling their backlinks packages.

The business must be good else how come there are several of them advertising backlinks packages through Google AdWords? A few minutes ago, I was tempted to click on a Google ad from my email screen, The subject line said $30 per PR 6 backlinks. However, when I landed on the advertiser's site, I was greeted with $395!

I quickly exited. In my opinion, getting links back from sites that are not in way related to your blog's niche is absolute waste of time and money irrespective of the PR of the sites that are going to link to you.

Do follow backlinks from Twellow.

How many of you are using Twellow.com, an yellow page of Tweeters? It is a directory Tweeters arranged under every possible category.

While creating your profile, you can list all your social media contact information that include FriendFeed, Mixx, Delicious and so on.

As soon as you permit Twellow to access your Twitter profile, it brings back a lot of your information which is then automatically included in your Twellow profile. All the links in your Twellow profile are do follow.

See the screenshot below. The blue highlights are 'do follow' links.

Twellow is very useful to get targeted followers and you too can follow Tweeters who are in your niches.

Twellow navigation is very friendly at every stage while searching the directory or while editing your profile.

Yes, the method of offering guest blog posts has proven to be effective and many popular bloggers keep writing about this method in their blogs.

SeededBuzz allows us to view Seeds that have Guest Buzz invites. We can then send a Private Message to the blogger that has published the invitation to make a guest post.

You will find a tab 'Latest Invites'. Click on that to quickly view guest post invitations. Bloggers that allow guest posts always give a free back link to the guest blogger.

Get free blog content and backlinks.

This is new, fresh idea to get unique content for your blog plus some valuable links.

I have no intention of hurting your pride but we all as bloggers get blog post idea blackouts once n a way-right? Or sometimes, these black outs happen when we our mind is cramped with content, promotion and monetization ideas. But the result is content idea freeze.

And we too need holiday from blogging. But our loyal readers may not realize out need. They are always hungry for new content from you. At such times, we would be relieved if we can get guest posts for our blog.

Now, think the other way around. You have time; you are hungry to write for others just to get backlinks. But how can you go about getting bloggers to accept you?

All these things are possible with BloggerLinkUp.

Here is how it works:

When you join the Blogger Link Up for free, you are told that you will get emails once or twice a day, five days a week.

These emails will inform you about:

* Bloggers looking for expert sources,

* Bloggers who have posted requests for guest posts

* Bloggers offering guest posts

* Press releases representatives, company marketing people that are seeking reviews of products.

So, you know now what to do when you receive the daily email!

Also, you too can submit a request, and it will be forwarded to the list.

Aren't you excited about the prospects? Aren't you impatient to tell your friends about this free service?

Please, do that immediately; I mean sharing this blog post with your friends. The more people we have participating, the better the results will be for all of us.

Blogger Link Up is promoted by Cathy Stucker.

Automatic commenting on 'Do Follow' blogs.

Whether or not you remove 'no follow' attribute from your template, if you say, "You comment; I follow" in your blog, you are sure to attract commentators. Of course a seasoned blogger can find out the deception but then I suppose no one deceives in this fashion.

Commenting on blogs is much easier than finding blogs that pass on link juice. I have posted a big list of 'Do Follow' blogs long ago in this blog. Find here the 'Do Follow' blogroll.

Today, I came to know about a software that crawls the blogosphere and find for you all the 'Do Follow' blogs. I appreciate the developer of this software called 'Instant Blog Links' because he clearly understood the bloggers' drive to get as many backlinks as possible from blogs that pass on link juice.

This is a new tool from Rod Beckwith who is know for his other software creations that include top-selling tools Adword Generator, Article Equalizer, Instant Affiliate Submitter and many more.

Instant Blog Links is an easy-to-download PC software you can run right on your computer.

Over a period of 6 months to one year, you can build thousands of one way backlinks by using 'Instant Blog Links' that enables you to locate 'do follow' blogs and submit useful comments to countless high-PR blogs that is always accompanied by a link to your website.

Anyone has tried this before?

Forums that pass on link juice.

There may be hundreds of forums that may pass on link juice. Passing on link juice means removing 'no follow' attribute. Our blog gets backlinks-one way backlinks if we happen to leave behind our link to blogs as a signature.

But, I know all such 'do follow' forums may not be interesting to bloggers. Forums must be in our niche to participate-right?

Feedburner forum is definitely a nice for bloggers and it follows our links. I was encouraged to join this forum because it has more 75,000 members.

But, what a disappointment when I opened that site. It is on the verge of closing. I think I have missed out on a golden opportunity to get backlinks and readerships by not being aware of the feedburner forum earlier.

To start or continue a discussion about FeedBurner, please visit our new FeedBurner Help Group, part of Google Groups.

New way to get one way backlinks.

Have you ever thought of giving useful tutorials about various aspect of blogging as a means to get one way backlinks?

Yes, writing articles with an author's byline is definitely a method to get one way backlinks but do you really think people will look for blogging tutorials in an article directory rather than in an exclusive site for blogging tutorials?

I would first search dedicated sites for blogging for guides and tutorials for blogging.

Here is WPTUT, a shortened name for Wordpress tutorials. This is a place where beginners can learn wordpress by browsing through great tips and guides for operating a blog based on wordpress.

If you have some knowledge about wordpress to share, you can submit your tutorial and point it directly to your blog post where the tutorial can be read in full.

There is also a forum in the site but that is still new and hence no activity as of now.

Think again before submitting to social bookmarks.

I spend at least 20 minutes a day to submit some of my blog posts to social bookmarking sites in the hope of getting back links. And I have spent countless hours to compile a big list of social bookmarking sites and spent equal number of hours to register in them.

Chris Lang just stopped me from having false hopes of getting back links by submitting to social media sites.

I have initiated a thread, "How many social sites follow links" in the social authority forum and Chris Lang has replied in great detail about what is the Google's strategy in ranking your site, how we may be considered as a spammer by submitting to popular social bookmarking sites including Digg.

We all should read his e-book on social marketing that contains totally different but very useful information.

Cross link exchange.

By-passing the new comers to the blogosphere, I am calling attention to all the experienced bloggers who have this burning desire to get backlinks.

You all probably know that getting backlinks from similar niche is very important than getting backlinks from all and sundry. I know we still give in to such links too because something is better than nothing.

If you want to gain exposure through cross promotion partnerships with like-minded blogs and sites, please go to Link Like. As the name suggests, we can get links from other blogs of the same category as ours.

There are plenty of categories that include personal blog, consumer products, business services, professional blog, user services and shopping.

LinkLike is a social networking web site for folks who run web sites. It is a sort of you scratch my back and I to do the same type. They say that heir site is a a metered ad exchange service which means for every user you send to their site, they must send a user to your site.

A link cloud for your blog.

Bloggers are familiar with tag cloud. Tag cloud displays the labels or categories of your blog posts; a tag is displayed in bold as the number of posts that carry the tag increases.

Cool idea! It is used by many prominent bloggers.

Ok, what is a link cloud?

I think a picture will make immediate sense to you. Below are two words taken from a link cloud from Weblogistan.com.
Splendid Pictures Apple

When I place the cursor over "Splendid Pictures", I read this: "125 clicks, various collection of splendid pictures".

At weblogistan.com, you can add your link to their link cloud. So, if you have the same in your blog, your blog readers will want to add their link to your blog's link cloud.

How do you like this widget?

High PR back links.

A while back, I was immersed in my Google reader. I came upon a blog post by Wizcoder in which he has written about the value of comments on other blogs with high PR.

I agree with his opinion fully. Making sensible comments on various blog posts is the best way to get one way backlinks provided your links are followed.

Commenting on blog posts that are archived but still have a high PR is more productive. But we need to spend a lot of time to search the archives that have high PR.

Wizcoder has given a short list of archived blog posts that have PR 6 to PR 3. He also mentioned a technique to find archived blog posts with good PR.

Thank you Wizcder.

Technorati rank building.

Is it some sort of coincidence?

Of late, I have been reading a lot of blog posts about technorati exchange. I participated in few.

I feel we should rush things up. A sudden spurt in technorati links will not look natural. I will be selective only in accepting offers. I hope, people will take it in the right perspective.

For example, I am ready exchange technorati favorites and text links with other blogs that are on anything about blogging such as blog promotion, blogging community, blogging for money, blog directories and so on.

I also invite blogs that deals with widgets, web tools, blog forums etc.

Interested persons can directly email me and email id is at the top right of this blog.

Thank you readers.
