If Arnold Schwarzenegger wore one of the Audemars Piguet’s watches, then it is good enough for me too-the world thus responded after watching Terminator 3 and the watches made by the oldest Swiss watch brand Audemars Piguet. This watch received the attention of the whole world it deserved. The history of the manufacturers of this world class precision watch will fascinate anybody.
The historical meeting took place in 1875 between 23 year old Jules Audemars and Edward-August Piguet who was at that time only 21 years old. The historical meeting place of the two was Vallee de Joux, which is considered to be the cradle of prestige watch-making. Their hometown was Le Brassus. When they graduated school, they went to Vallee de Joux to start working in their favorite field of watch manufacturing.
Thus Jules Audemars started producing component parts for movements and Edward-August got the job of a repasseur, which means he was a master watchmaker, whose job it was to make the final regulation of the timepiece. They founded a firm, the name of which was later known as Audemars, Piguet et Cie.
I was browsing through essentialwatches.com, the grand discount shop for high quality Swiss and German watches and clicked on several watches and I finally settled for an Audemars Piguet watch that comes with a perpetual calendar. 
When I said settled, I meant that I made a mental wish to own it one day. I know the Universe will take care of my wish.
