I met a coins expert.

An email contact turned up at my house a few days before. The person is from Hong Kong but basically he is from India.

It is very pleasing to meet face to face a person who I know thus far only digitally. He did not have any business purpose to come to my home town; it was only a visit to just meet me. How kind of him to have come all the way from Hong Kong!

While we were discussing myriad things, he informed that he is an expert in evaluating old silver and bronze coins and it is just a hobby for him.

Studying during this hot summer is the biggest punishment one can experience. Indian education system is still following the age old establishment set up by the English rulers.

All the exams are conducted when temperature hovers above 40 degree C. Gritting our teeth and cursing the bureaucracy, we silently endure and go through the process.

In the middle of compiling my papers online, my PC got stuck up and I noticed that more than 32 processes were going on and the CPU sagged under the weight.

The only solution is to enhance my computer memory or buy a new computer with at least 1GB RAM.

I wish some hardware engineer come up a computer memory that can temporarily run on human memory at times of these breakdowns. (Smile)

Introducing linkworth jobs.

I received a blogging assignment from Link Worth today. This is my second assignment.

After reporting my completed work, I was just browsing their web site when I noticed their blog post about LinkWorth jobs.

Till now, bloggers will be notified by email by LinkWorth if they are given a blogging assignment. Their process is a bit long like many such players in the same field. Their advertisers will browse through the database of registered and approved blogs, select a blog that match their industry, consider that blogs traffic and PR parameters and then award the work.

With the introduction of LinkWorth jobs, a market place is created where advertisers and bloggers can choose each others' services more transparently.

As a publisher, we can view the available jobs by just logging in to our control center.

I am waiting eagerly for the launch.

Engraved gold anklets.

It is our custom to present the first time lady visitors to our house with a sari. This tradition is being followed by all the Indian families that can afford it.

And none will refuse the gift; their pride will not come in the way. It is considered rude to refuse to accept the sari.

Yesterday, I had the shock of my life when my gift was refused however politely. The guest apologetically asked if she can get another dress that is not a sari; she wanted something short.

Noticing my odd look, she shyly showed her legs that are adorned by a pair of beautiful new gold anklets. So, that’s it! She did not prefer a sari because that will conceal the gold anklet.

I thought gold is not worn on legs!

I was enthusiastically browsing a forum for bloggers a few minutes ago when I learnt about a new get paid to post website. It offers bloggers an opportunity to earn a few extra dollars a month by taking up various assignments.

Want to earn by blogging?

Three days before, I found another paid to blog opportunity accidentally. I think I read a banner on a blog that I don't remember.

Bloggers Review is a new kid on the field of hiring bloggers and matching their services with the advertisers who are looking for exposure of their website through blogs.

I registered, submitted one of my blogs and they approved it in a day.

Yesterday I logged in and was shocked to find that my login details are wrong. The next page after that also showed another facility to key in the login info. I obliged and it also accepted me in.
A bug that is not yet detected.

I see there are two opportunities but for both of them, it says my blog is not eligible.Hmmm..., ok, let me take it in my stride.

In the members area, there is a tab 'My Blogs' which when clicked won't show my approved blogs. I again had to click on 'Edit blog' to see my approved blog. A clear confusion in the navigation.

They have a page dedicated to tips on avoiding a drop in page rank. I am sorry I found nothing useful there.
