How to become a professional blogger?

Becoming a professional full time blogger is easy. First condition is you should not be employed elsewhere.

Next, you should be really hungry for money. I know many bloggers who are otherwise wealthy that have abandoned their blogs in just a few weeks. They just did not need the money.

Then, you must find out whether there is a blogger in you. I have a self revealing questionnaire for this purpose.

Money by blogging will take a minimum of 6 months to see the first sign of U.S.dollars. That too, your blog should have been updated with new and unique content three times a week and should have a backing with a healthy quantity of backlinks to gain a Google page rank of at least 3.

Natural blogging is a must but it should be interspersed with fairly well paying keywords.

Do you think you can do it?

Marketplace for freelance bloggers.

The press release of Freelance Bloggers is a bit late I suppose as I have already written about them in my blog. The site is still very slow in loading and this is what keeping me away from it.

Well, Freelance Bloggers is actually a forum which also serves as a marketplace for bloggers and organizations looking for bloggers. As the press release said bloggers can post free profiles highlighting their blogging expertise; companies, organizations, and individuals can post open blogging jobs.

As I am writing this, I noticed a bunch of opportunities are posted for bloggers to grab. But, you should the patience of an eagle to read as the site is abysmally slow. Here are two sample posts:
Looking for Writer/Blogger
Sports Writer/Blogger

As my blogging assignments are already tieing me down, I am really not looking forward to sign up for more paid blogging jobs.

Where to find blogging jobs.

In bloggeries forum, I stumbled on to a thread that talked about a freelance bloggers community where a blogger can post his profile and expertise. Also there are plenty of blogging jobs posted by individuals and companies.

FreelanceBlogger.net is a blogging community that connects bloggers (newbies and pros) with companies looking for bloggers.

I stopped by and had a look at the forum. Sure, there are plenty of blogging jobs in several niches.
A few samples:
Women's Blog Network Bloggers - Multiple Subjects!
City Bloggers / Editors for Blog Network & Guidebooks.
Freelance Art Blogger.

There are separate threads for bloggers in every niche that includes, women's issues, finance, travel, eco, fashion, food, etc

I read a few useful articles on issues about blogging.

The forum seems to be young and hence at present it lacks activity. May be it will pick up if you visit and spread the word.

How to become a business blogger?

A business blogger earns from his blog and the earnings may touch 5 figure but it takes at least a year or two. Still, it is worth a wait-isn't it?

But what Angela Booth says that you could earn 6 figure income as a business blogger if you read her e-book titled "Blogging for dollars". Well, I am skeptic about the figure. If that is feasible, I would quit everything now itself-my cooking, my higher studies, shares trading-everything for that magic 6 figure.

Angela is not elaborate on the content of her blogging guide and she offers no refunds. As the goods delivered are non-tangible, Angela cannot offer refunds and requests the readers to ask questions before buying. I consider it as fair.

Of course, along with your purchase, there are a few bonus thrown in.

I read the testimonials in her site and they all sound genuine. No affiliate sales program as of now. (I wonder why not?)

Introducing linkworth jobs.

I received a blogging assignment from Link Worth today. This is my second assignment.

After reporting my completed work, I was just browsing their web site when I noticed their blog post about LinkWorth jobs.

Till now, bloggers will be notified by email by LinkWorth if they are given a blogging assignment. Their process is a bit long like many such players in the same field. Their advertisers will browse through the database of registered and approved blogs, select a blog that match their industry, consider that blogs traffic and PR parameters and then award the work.

With the introduction of LinkWorth jobs, a market place is created where advertisers and bloggers can choose each others' services more transparently.

As a publisher, we can view the available jobs by just logging in to our control center.

I am waiting eagerly for the launch.

Woman Bloggers Wanted.

Woman bloggers who can write about the following are being paid by http://4indianwoman.com/

Current Events.
Female Issues.
Fitness.
Recipes.
Social Issues.

I think Indian women bloggers are given more topics to write about. The website is not very clearly designed. I read a lot of testimonials of Indian women.

They have a discussion board too which is not very active. May be that is the reason they reward members who contribute regularly.

Not much information about the promoters too in their website.

No, I am not going to register myself with them.

There is a paid campaign.

“There is a paid campaign for you to take. Go to your member area to find out this task and complete it”

This is how the email from Smorty will read if your blog is approved by them. Once approved, you must log in periodically to check for tasks. If there is one available, you can accept it and note down the requirements to complete the task. You will also intimated by email as above.

If you follow their instructions to the letter, your blog post will be approved for payment. If by chance you have not written a blog post without following the instruction, their system will point out your mistake. You can then re-submit your completed work after attending to the error.

The entire Internet community is striving round the clock to get visitors. In order to get traffic, website owners have to promote their website products or services vigorously and effectively.

There are hundreds of methods to go about their task and among them, blogs are considered as the most fruitful media. To advertise on blogs, advertisers engage the services of a professional internet marketing company such as Smorty.com.

Smorty.com is a busy market place for advertisers and bloggers. Here those who are looking for blog advertising as well as bloggers who blog for money are matched by Smorty.com to create a win-win situation.

I have been trying to understand how it works, but I admit I cannot figure it out.
May be you can and if so, please teach me how I can monetize my blog.

Please go to Ranking Blogs, read it fully. Not that there is much
to read, you can see only familiar words that we have all seen already.
After you register and log in, go tour account and click on all the links under
Website Owners and Buying Ads.

Something is missing. I may be wrong but .....
There are two ways to earn; one is through text link ads and the other
way is writing a blog post as
we do for blogitive.com. The second way is called 'Advertorial'.

But once you set your rates for your blogs, I don't know what to do.
I clicked on 'Browse ads' and chose 'Advertorial' for a product.
The next screen presented a form asking me to fill up some
details and I am stuck up here.

Any help bloggers?

My ramblings on sposnored posts.

It was in May 2006, that I found about the opportunity to earn as a pro blogger.

Till that time, I did not know about earning from blogs. I started blogging mainly to share my knowledge and experience. Of course I knew about AdSense and it took exactly 12 months to earn my first $100 from AdSense.

I stumbled on to 'paid to blog' opportunity in bloggerparty; I read a post of another blogger about Blogitive.com. I was fascinated by this opportunity and I did not hesitate even one minute to sign up with blogitive and submitted my blogs.

I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email from them after two days informing me that my blogs have been approved.

I have completed one year with Blogitive and I have made my first sponsored post in this blog today. Through out this period, they have been very supportive and paying promptly.

Looking back, working for them was very rewarding. I gained enormous knowledge in blogosphere, developed some very good contacts.

Now I am working for more than half a dozen companies.

I thank everyone who have given an opportunity to earn by blogging.
