Blog me the money.
Blog me the money made a comment on one of my blog posts and fortunately, the blogger has hyperlinked his name to his blog. Many don't do that you know?
Apart from his own posts. he thought of a brilliant idea to attract visitors to his blog by inviting others in the same niche to submit blogs on making money from the web.
The title 'Weekend quick picks' has attracted several bloggers to submit their blog posts on making money by blogging or by other means. The second edition of week end quick picks has 17 submissions.
Go take a look and share what you like.

Bloggertizer pays $5 immediately.
On Sunday, when I was aimlessly spidering, I came upon Bloggertizer, a market place for advertisers and bloggers.
As a blogger who has been working for several internet marketing companies, this site was new to me. I immediately registered and submitted my blog.
How it works:
* You submit your blog with its description
* It is instantly added to the marketplace for advertisers to see.

* There is no for your blog to be approved by Bloggertizer but they leave it to the advertisers choice whether your blog is suitable for them
* If an advertiser chooses your blog, he will use the messaging system provided by bloggertizer and to contact you.
* Your job is to log in every now and then (of course, you can log in once in a month too) and check your 'Inbox" for any messages.
* If there is one, it between you and the advertiser to settle deal.
After completing the formalities, if you make a blog post on Bloggertizer, you will be paid $5.
I did all the above on my part. I just checked my 'Inbox' and it told me that it has hopes to get filled to the brim soon.

Even at odd hours, I receive calls in my mobile phone inquiring if I am interested in opening an account in a foreign bank. These unsolicited calls have been increasing day by day.
Get your own crawler. Promote your blog.
It then remembers your basic interest in the Internet. It then goes on his own for a while, crawls the web and bring you visitors to your blog. Those visitors obviously visited the websites you have also visited.
Isn't that a genius concept in Internet marketing. I salute the man/woman who has conceived the idea. It is truly creative.
Go to Scoutle.com and first read 'how it works in detail'.
To quote them:
"You create a Scout that will walk all over the Internet for you, searching and indexing interesting websites while in the meantime he promotes your own website."
This can be a potential platform for bloggers to promote their blogs. This can evolve in to a great blogging community.
This is very young and it needs a push from us. Will you?

Divers’ delight.

By the time my son left for his swimming lesson, he was late by 30 minutes. So he called up his swimming instructor and asked him if it is okay to come late. But his instructor told him it is not alright and asked him to come the next day.

Tips to increase feed subscriber.
I have participated in a few places that offer the feed subscription exchange facility. In fact, I also have started this topic in a couple of bloggers forum.
It yielded the desired results but somehow I stopped this method of gaining readership. I wanted only genuine readers for my blog.
But that doesn't have to be the preferred way for other bloggers. They can follow any strategy to increase their feed count.
Today I found another novel way while I was reading a blog that was displayed in the Blog Rush widget. The blogger offered an useful e-book for self development if I subscribe to his blog's feed.
Isn't that nice-I mean the e-book and the method?
Do you want to blog better?

It is a taboo to talk about sleeping disorders in my presence. Well, I sort of made it a taboo. I have earned the reputation of the …Oh, let me rephrase it; they say the moment I smell the memory foam mattress, I sleep off as the light goes off immediately when you switch off the light.
It is the comfort of the memory foam mattress that makes me smell sleep the moment I think of the light blue mattress and the multicolor quilt on it. My memory foam mattress is my spiritual relaxation guru, my body revitalizer and my mind strengthener.
Do you know I blog better when I am on my memory foam mattress with the notebook PC on my lap? But I am feeling already slee…..zzzzzzz

Shout your site.
Also, in the process I have started compiling good blog directories that are bugs free and easy to submit to.
Since April 28th, I am submitting to at least three blog directories on alternate days. I find it interesting and really geared up.
Yesterday, I submitted 6 of my blogs to Shout Your Site. All were approved in less than 24 hours and received emails intimating that they have approved my blogs. Shout your site has Google PR3 at present.
It is free and you can choose up to 3 categories for your blog.

Are parents self-centered?

I buy insurance for myself mainly for the sake of its actual purpose-insurance against unforeseen. But when I buy insurance and gift it to others, I do it as an investment the gift receiver can fall back on.

Do directories follow us?
Two days before, I wrote about my bitter experiences while submitting my blogs to blog directories.
I wanted to speak about another important point to consider while submitting to directories. The main purpose of submitting to directories to get some useful backlinks but what if the directories don't pass on link juice by implementing 'No Follow' attribute?
I feel the directories should indicate this on their home page.
Here is a comment my blog received regarding blog directories.
"If you want an up-to-date list of the Top 101 Blog Directories & Submission Sites, I maintain a list on my blog: TrafficNymphomaniac.com ".
Piwik - Open Source Competitor to Google Analytics
Piwik (previously known as "phpmyvisits") aims to be an open source alternative and direct competitor to the famous statistics from Google Analytics. As both programs are free for its members, the main fight for the users will be on the level of the usability, user interface, and set of features available.
Piwik provides detailed reports on the web site visitors, enhanced statistics per pages popularity, overview of search engine keywords, languages used, traffic origins, and much more. If in US it is just starting its way to the consumers, in Japan it is already well-known to the bloggers and website owners.
What makes Piwik different:
* Open APIs
* Plugins Architecture. New features can be added and unneeded stats can be dropped. In its basic format, there are four different categories - dashboard, visitors, actions, and referrers. Each section includes multiple analytical widgets that can be added and removed easily. Outcomes can be presented as bar graphs, pie charts, or plain text.
* Data abstraction layer
* Customizable dashboard.
* Innovative customizable User Interface. You can drag and drop the widgets you want to display and create the reports you want.
Note, that Piwik should be installed on your webserver, while all the data is stored in your own database.
Give it a try: http://piwik.org/

Reduce weight naturally.

I turn a deaf ear whenever I am criticized of being skinny. I know I am not skinny but slender.

New blog directories.
What is the most distressing thing while I submit my blogs to blog directories is the reciprocal link checking. Almost every blog directory has this bug.
See, I don't mind linking back. In fact I want to link to them. But there is a bug that is always there in most of the directories that says, "A link to the directory cannot be found in the URL you have specified" but the link that I placed is very much alive.
Another annoying factor is there won't be any way to let the blog directory owner about the bug because there won't be a 'Contact us' link. They are blissfully unaware of their directory's short comings.
What an inefficiency!
What to do with unwanted text books?
I literally had to throw away more than 70 books the other day when I was cleaning my cupboard. I had to make my office ready for the next academic year starting on 1st June.
I am generally forced to accept several text books every year by many publishers. This is the woe every academician has to face. Publishers just dump them whether I really need the books or not.
What happens in the melee is my choice books also get lost among the useless pile.
I was told by one of students that I can make money with all the books I have by renting them out online.
Any idea?

Are you a blogger mom?
When I was submitting the blogs in various blog directories, I stumbled onto mommy community. I immediate joined the team of other mommy bloggers and you can see a graphic badge in this blog at the right sidebar.
They provide valuable resources for moms to work and earn from their home. For example, I like their idea of marketing jewelry from home. This can really turn out to be a substantial money earners for all moms.
There is much for me there and I can't write about everything here. One visit to them will make you see the potential of participating in their Link Love.
BlogIt - New Facebook Application for Bloggers
Blog It allows you to compose and post updates within the Facebook interface and have them simultaneously appear on any one of the ten supported services, including Movable Type, TypePad, Pownce, Twitter, Blogger and WordPress.
The idea behind Blog It is to simplify the process of updating all the various sites and services you use, offering a single interface for updating all your sites. It’s a bit like turning Facebook into a fire hose that sprays your thoughts across the web.
FriendFeed is also toying with similar, though much more limited cross-posting features, like the ability to send comments to Twitter. Blog It, however, offers far more complete updating capabilities.
Which isn’t to say that Blog It is feature complete just yet. For now, you’ll miss niceties like a rich text editor or the ability to upload and include pictures in your posts. In the video below, Six Apart’s David Recordon makes it clear that the company is aware of the application's short-comings and promises feature upgrades in the near future.
But while Blog It may be a work in progress, even in limited form, it’s the easiest way I’ve seen to broadcast posts across platforms. It offers the ability to pick and choose which posts go where on a per-post basis so you’re always in control of who sees what. Every time you add a new service to update, Blog It offers the option to automatically post to that service, though you can always uncheck any of the services when you actually post something.
Blog It is a pretty slick Facebook app, perhaps the best I’ve used. And while it still lacks a few features (OAuth support is reportedly in the works, but for now you’ll have to give Blog It all of your passwords) it definitely makes it easier to broadcast your life to multiple locations. It's a nice cure for the fatigue of having to keep up with all of your data streams by logging into each service separately.
Recordan has hinted elsewhere that Six Apart may expand Blog It to work from other platforms — like Plaxo’s Pulse, or perhaps even as standalone AIR application like Twhirl — but for now Blog It is tied to Facebook.
To get an idea of what Blog It looks like in action, check out the video below where Recordon walks you through the process of setting up and using Blog It (and also offers the best OAuth metaphor I’ve heard: “it’s like a valet key for the web”). If you’d like to jump in with both feet, you can go ahead and add Blog It to your Facebook account.

Introducing linkworth jobs.

I received a blogging assignment from Link Worth today. This is my second assignment.
After reporting my completed work, I was just browsing their web site when I noticed their blog post about LinkWorth jobs.
Till now, bloggers will be notified by email by LinkWorth if they are given a blogging assignment. Their process is a bit long like many such players in the same field. Their advertisers will browse through the database of registered and approved blogs, select a blog that match their industry, consider that blogs traffic and PR parameters and then award the work.
With the introduction of LinkWorth jobs, a market place is created where advertisers and bloggers can choose each others' services more transparently.
As a publisher, we can view the available jobs by just logging in to our control center.
I am waiting eagerly for the launch.
Engraved gold anklets.
And none will refuse the gift; their pride will not come in the way. It is considered rude to refuse to accept the sari.

Noticing my odd look, she shyly showed her legs that are adorned by a pair of beautiful new gold anklets. So, that’s it! She did not prefer a sari because that will conceal the gold anklet.
I thought gold is not worn on legs!

Triggit: Add Content and Monetize your Blog with Ease
Triggit offers an interesting approach to enhance the ways of your site monetization. It is a web based application that matches your site content to multiple ad opportunities, through a meta-ad network, having access to millions of ads from numerous networks and allowing to receive one aggregate earnings check.
The biggest advantage of Triggit is a nice ability to drag and drop fitting ads directly into your site from your web browser. No hassle embedding HTML, PHP or CSS code on you site. This drag and drop feature works through JavaScript. If your publishing platform accepts JavaScript, you are in the game. So far the accepted platforms are Blogger, TypePad, and WordPress. The application works as a simple widget, but you can also manually insert the code snipper if you like the certain ad to
appear on your site.
Triggit is also lets a blogger adding YouTube videos and Flickr images to the page easily and in no time without editing HTML or even launching your blog post editor
The bigger issue with this service is related to the browser limitation. Currently, Triggit only works with Flock and FireFox. This leaves all other browser of the page or blog owners out of the picture.
A little video from DownloadSquade shows how the service works.

Get paid to post.
The assignments include a post in your blog or a post in forum. There is no need to submit your blog and wait anxiously for it to get approved.
Advertisers also stand to get benefited by participating in this program to spread the word about their products or services.
I read that there is a lot of buzz about this website in the Internet. Another forum post I read somewhere says that the response among the advertisers is tremendous.
I wish the advertisers get an increase in their sales.

Want to earn by blogging?
Bloggers Review is a new kid on the field of hiring bloggers and matching their services with the advertisers who are looking for exposure of their website through blogs.
I registered, submitted one of my blogs and they approved it in a day.
Yesterday I logged in and was shocked to find that my login details are wrong. The next page after that also showed another facility to key in the login info. I obliged and it also accepted me in.
A bug that is not yet detected.
I see there are two opportunities but for both of them, it says my blog is not eligible.Hmmm..., ok, let me take it in my stride.
In the members area, there is a tab 'My Blogs' which when clicked won't show my approved blogs. I again had to click on 'Edit blog' to see my approved blog. A clear confusion in the navigation.
They have a page dedicated to tips on avoiding a drop in page rank. I am sorry I found nothing useful there.
