I am an advocate of the necessity of SEO but not as an additional cost. I feel the web designer should take up the responsibility of designing the website search engine friendly.

He should not assume that his client will know about SEO. He should patiently explain the importance of SEO to his client. In fact, if I were a web designer, I would incorporate the SEO factor in it.

Is your blog haunted by flamers?

I get a total of 250 visitors daily to my blogs. Of them, I get about 6 comments but not daily.

Yes, one or two comments are occasionally from flamers. But I just don't publish those comments. I don't get angry over them.

I read a blog post in daily blog tips about ways to handle flamers. I enjoyed one sentence by the author.
"Others may be reasonable people who are just having a bad day when they comment."

Then of course, I went through those tips to handle flamers. Again I could help appreciate this point.

usually, there will be an avalanche of news stories in the world of blogs that we bloggers affectionately call blogosphere. And we promptly ignore the spelling mistake alert on the word 'blogosphere' and continue on.

The last 10 days or so, I sense a dryness in blogosphere; I mean, nothing new or interesting is found. Not even any thing new on the PR reduction by Google. Probably, people are really tired discussing an abyss.

I thought I could perk up the minds of fellow bloggers by posting an interesting history of the word 'Blogosphere' itself.

*The term blogosphere was coined on September 10, 1999 by Brad L. Graham, as a joke.

Whatever may be our resentment about the page reduction by Google, we have to live with it-right?

Is there anything that we can achieve by carrying our resentment? Obviously not. Yes, I am fully aware that as a pro blogger, my blog is judged by the green band that Google shows.

If I were an Internet marketer like PPP or Blogitive, I would judge a blog's popularity by the number of reads a blog gets. But alas, blog hosts like Google or WP, do not show that important statistics as all the AdSense revenue sharing blogs show.
