I feel humiliated due to the latest Paypal policies concerning the freelancers in India. The freelancers in India are bringing thousands of U.S.Dollars without ever leaving their country. Their effort and service to India should be highly acclaimed by those governing the nation.

On the contrary, the freelancers are always treated without respect. Take a look at the Paypal policies that will be implemented from March 1st 2001.

I quote Paypal below:
In order to comply with the RBI Guidelines, our user agreement in India will be amended for the following services as follows:

1. Any balance in and all future payments into your Paypal account may not be used to buy goods or services and must be transferred to your bank account in India within 7 days from the receipt of confirmation from the buyer in respect of the goods or services.

I understand this point and I welcome it to a certain extent. Yes, the foreign currency we earn as freelancers should come into Indian Forex reserves but why this 7 day deadline? What will happen to the money if it is not withdrawn in 7 days?

How can we buy domain and hosting if I don’t have a credit card. Now, don’t tell me hosting packages can be bought from India paying Indian rupees. They are stupidly costly and come nowhere near the hosting package offered by Blue Host or similar vendors.

There are thousands of freelancers that are selling products and services through their blogs and website. Their payment gateway is Paypal that is offering excellent service to Internet merchants all over the world.

Now, no Indian can buy through my website by paying USD. Fine enough. Indians should pay Indians only in their national currency. However, who will provide e-commerce facility in India matching Paypal’s offer?

I know I am only shouting like frog and the noise will get unnoticed among all the thousands of frogs that croak along with me.

However, this is my blog; I am venting my feelings.

As any other blogger, I have explored several ways to install random or relevant articles widgets on this blog, trying to attract the readers not just with the information, they came for through the search engine, but also offering them a chance to stumble on some of my older posts. I had to blunt when I said to my friend that diets that work for me many not work for her too. Everyone’s rate of metabolism differs and that depends on the food everyone eats.

After a long time, I visited a new blog directory called Spillbean. Very odd name for a directory of blogs-right?

It is a simple one with friendly user interface. Adding my blog was easy. However, due to a bug, it was not added. For free listing, you must provide a link back to Spillbean.com I gave a reciprocal URL as demanded and obliged the spam filter exercise.

But it kept saying that I made an error with the spam filter task.

Hmmm.. a new kind of bug!

Themed exam table for pediatricians.

The memory of the theme exam table at the Child Trust Hospitable lingered more than the agony of the suffering kid. I am not going to reveal this to the parent of the kid though. It is refreshing to see the way hospitals furnish their treatment table these days.

The examination table I saw sported an attractive design that kids would love. It would certainly make them at ease before climbing on the treatment table. As a mother, it would also easy my tension and that would help the doctors to focus more on their real task than trying to appease the parents’ anxiety.

I think the exam table would have cost more to the hospital with its knit-backed vinyl upholstery. Nevertheless, I believe hospitals should not mind it considering the comfort of the patients.

Nearly half a day was lost yesterday while rearranging the bedroom. My husband, who generally tolerates chilly mornings, suddenly could not stand the weather. Even the heated blanket that his son bought for him is not sufficient to make him feel warm.

We had to move the giant bed away from the big bay window that we all like for the spectacular view outside. Fortunately, the electric blanket came with a long power cord and it was possible for it to reach out to the cot in its new position.

When we completed the new arrangement, I took a longer look. Something was not all right. Ah, the color of the window blinds did not match the sky blue color of the heated blanket.

Today, I am going to buy new curtains to make things acceptable to my aesthetic taste.
