Suddenly I became a celebrity.

An invitation from a fashion designer’s studio bore my name as one of the guests. It took me by surprise. What did I do to deserve such a status? I didn’t have to wait long to find out.

On the inauguration day, when I walked into the studio, I was immediately attracted by more than a dozen chandeliers from Murray Feiss lighting. But it seemed that I was the only to know they are from Murray Feiss.

The host introduced me to the elite crowd as the one that guided her to decorate her fashion studio (it was her workstation) with those lovely chandeliers through my blog.

I didn’t know that my blog has readers from the fashion industry. I was truly elated.

When I returned home, my husband revealed that the fashion designer is known to him. I guessed the rest. My husband simply deflated my blown up ego.

Make an informed purchase of diet pills.

Do people buy diet pills online or they just pick them up from their local pharmacy? I have a reason to raise this doubt.

I too am aware of hundreds of weight loss pills review sites and online stores that sell diet pills, nutrition supplements and so on. However, they do not publish all the details of ingredients of a weight loss supplement. How does one make an educated purchase online if the important information is sparse?

I remember reading in depth information of all the top diet pills sold at buytopdietpills.com. I urge you to visit the site once to realize that I am not exaggerating.

For example, you can read the details of all the ingredients of Lipovox, one of the top rated diet pills. Every ingredient’s image too is published alongside its data.

--->This is Brazilian Acai.

It is certainly a helpful site to buy diet pills online. Very informative mate!

Herbal treatment for acne.

If an herb is an ingredient of acnepril, then it must be mentioned in the ancient herbs of India. However, I was not able to find the Indian name of ‘witch hazel leaf’ that is used in the formulation of Acnepril, the first oral treatment for acne.

The effectiveness of acnepril is well known among the users of it. Acnepril addresses the root cause of acne, which is blockage of follicles at the root of the skin.

Acnepril was frowned upon when it was launched. People could not believe a treatment for acne is possible without applying anything on the affected surface.

They ridiculed the idea of oral treatment for skin disorders.

Today, it is a different story. I mean, there is a distinct change in the minds of people affected by pimples but still, there is a long way to go before acnepril takes the center stage.

Suppressing your appetite? Think again.

The side effects of diet pills are not called anymore as side effects but as direct effects. Yes, instead of only one direct effect and that is suppressing your appetite, diet pills cause more harm directly resulting in people seriously questioning the very claim of weight loss supplements.

The list of side effects of diet pills is getting longer daily as new and unheard of side effects are being reported by those taking weight loss pills.

The latest complaint that has made the world sit up is loss of sleep because of diet pills.

Oh yes, there is a psychological disadvantage that is being noticed in those consuming appetizer suppressants. Suppressing the natural gift is creating depression.

Are there safe and harmless diet pills?

Place a live search box in your blog.

We all have whims. We rebel at times on something trite and try something different. For example, every blog you see in the blogosphere has a search box and it is always provided by the might Google.

Say, how about placing a search box provided by someone other than Google? Just to try and see if people like it, go to Sikbox.com. There is nothing to look around so, just enter the domain name of your blog or website and generate a short javascript code.

Place it in a prominent location in your website and let it run for a month or so. If you like, keep it on and spread the word.

It is a breeze to customize the look of the search box and the javascript is really small. The search is live mate!

Manely speaking.

Before letting you know about which hair loss products for men works the best (read further only if you are a man), let me ask you one thing.

Are you seriously bothered about your receding forehead? I firmly believe that you are not concerned about hair loss like women. In fact, you think you look dignified with a broad (on all sides) forehead. What do you say?

Take my husband for example. Ever since his head started showing bare patches here and there, he started flirting! How dare he do that?

Still, I suggested to him a few hair loss remedies like a true wife and like all husbands, he refused to acknowledge wifely concern.

Nevertheless, he wants me to sport a gorgeous hairline. Very chauvinistic-eh?

Save the Delicious.

Digital information cleaning is in fact more essential than physical clutter. We tend to overlook the burden we are dumping on free social bookmarking sites. We are taught that social bookmarking gets us valuable backlinks but I think hardly 10% of the social bookmarking sites pass on link juice.

Deletious-helps us to revisit our bookmarked links in Delicious and we then can decide whether we want to keep the link or delete it. A sort of cleaning our office drawer. I like it and I think, Delicious is feeling the weight of carrying digital info.

Deletious can be logging into using our existing Delicious log in details. Once done, a window opens to show our stored web page. We can simply press a button on the left sidebar to either keep it or delete it.

It may throw up a few surprises. We can find forgotten gems too.

Regency Beauty Institute opens admissions.

How can you motivate person to take care of her looks who argues likes this:” if swimming is so good for your figure, how do you explain whales?”

The irony is, it is the same girl who went on to become a successful beautician after graduating from Cosmetology school in Missouri. (But that didn’t deter to resize her waist).

She was one of the STARS in Regency Beauty Institute and that fetched a free, all paid trip to attend the most advertised America’s Beauty Show. It is where, the trainee beauticians of Regency Beauty Institute are exposed to the glittering world of professional beauticians and learn the latest trends in beautification and cosmetic products.

Regency Beauty Institute started modestly 50 years ago in Minnesota. Now, they have grown fairly well and have set up 30 campuses in nine states in the U.S.

Where do you buy pink ties for kids?

The demand of my grand daughter took me by surprise. She wanted an Italian pink tie. Never in my life, had I worn a tie. Where do I go for pink ties and that too for a kid of 7 years old?

When I asked her the purpose of her demand, she told me that all her classmates were asked to come with pink ties for a band show. I didn’t know that she could play a band.

The kid screamed at me that she is not going to play a band but only going to stand among the cheer girls.

But, why she wanted an Italian pink tie? She said that is what her class teacher wanted.

My God, look at the demands of modern schools!

BTW, what is the difference between an Italian tie and an American tie?

Auto deliver your blogs' feeds to 3 social networks.

I don't know about you but I bank on an automated service that creates a 140 character message about my blog post whenever I make one and delivers it as a Tweet in my Twitter timelinee.

Of late, I came to know of a few services that auto deliver your blogs' feeds to Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin simultaneously. This is the latest one: http://dlvr.it/

Just enter your blog's feed URL in the box and 'Dlvr" does the rest.

It is alright to use these automated services. It certainly a big time saver for me as I write a minimum of 6 blog posts a day. But, who will read my Tweets, my Facebook Wall?

There must a tracking service that reports how many Tweeters read my Tweets and similarly my Facebook Wall.

Do you check your blog statistics too often?

While monitoring your trends and stats is one of the most important thing you can do to improve your blog, that might become kind of obsession. Not only it takes your valuable time, if you do that too often, at some point it may become one of the conditions of your personal well-being. Your trends go up – you are happy, down – you are upset and depressed. Is that really productive? Are you happier now, when you have one more condition for your mood changes?

I would like to present blogger Vikas Gupta opinion on the topic.

Things Take Time (TTT) and it is one the hardest things to understand while blogging for obvious reasons. Almost all of us at some point of time have watched our blog statistics to get a minute-by-minute idea of how many visits our blog is garnering as analyzed by the various statistics plugins and Google Analytics or StatCounter. It is certainly an enjoyable exercise and one which is hard to resist given the immediate gratification it brings. Here are my views on why worrying inordinately about your blog statistics, hits and blog traffic is not a very good thing to do.

Don’t waste your precious time

Time is money. Many bloggers spend a lot of time watching those stats (often real-time) and getting a lot of satisfaction or tension. More often than not it is tension because everyone wants as many hits as possible and one is rarely satisfied which is normal human behavior. Statistical analyses of your blog(s) once in a while are necessary and desirable but spending a lot of time with it not advisable.

It also gives you tension

You are not getting what you want unlike your rival whose traffic and PR is just shooting upwards! You will only accentuate that painful feeling (aka tension) if you do not control your obsession with your blog’s traffic. Remember, Things Take Time (TTT). Ask any established and successful blogger and they suggest you to concentrate on content and quality more than traffic analyses. Traffic will follow sooner or later. Why torture yourself by thinking about it incessantly?!

You will compromise on quality

Blogging is not just about numbers and hits. If you worry about traffic and blog stats all the time you may end up writing for search engines than human beings. Blog for human beings not for bots. Build your credibility first traffic later. As a matter of fact, traffic is a concomitant of good content and will chase you and your blog though it may take some time.

Slow and steady wins the race

Many successful bloggers today are not fly-by-night online entrepreneurs. They worked hard with their blogs and exhibited a high degree of perseverance. “Between saying and doing many a pair of shoes is worn out,”  is a popular Italian proverb. So work more on your blog and less on your stats.

Worrying in moderation is fine

Moderation in all things! As they say you can eat whatever you like as long as it is in moderation. The same sentiments apply here. Do not ignore your blog stats and do not let it get the better of you. Wise bloggers know how to maintain the balance. Be wise and not otherwise!

Free IT Job Portal.

I wish I had known about this new IT job search portal earlier. Had I known about it a year ago, it would have made huge difference to several of my ex-students’ career.

Tech Careers is an excellent portal for job seekers in the IT industry. All the leaders in IT are expected to look for IT graduates in Techcareers.com.

The service offered by Techcareers.com is totally free for job seekers. They can upload their resume and job providers can post job openings free of cost.

Techcareers.com charge a fee only if job seekers want their resume to be distributed. This is the first IT job search portal that offers live chatting facility to job seekers and employers.

I read some very good articles in techcareers.com regarding resume presentation and covering letter drafting.

Job seekers can search for a job using keywords and can look for jobs in a specific location.

This portal is offered for job seekers worldwide.

Removed ads and get paid.

What a slogan! "Cancel ads and we will pay you". Someone who cares for the casual onlookers as well as serious browsers, is ready to shell out money to provide ad free browsing.

The concept is very old fashioned but tailored in a new cloth.

You are a web browser. You are terribly upset at distracting ads. You will wish how nice it will be to look at information without any ads in between or on the sides and where else!

You wish is heard by 'Cancel Ads' but you have to pay them some money to do this service. They pass on a part of your contribution to the publishers who are willing to remove ads.

Hey, as a publisher, I must survive-right?

Do you that 69% of the web surfers are willing to pay for ad free browsing?

Why gold from U.S. Gold Bureau?

What BBC, Times of India, Reuters and Business Week have failed to attract the attention of investors who buy gold coins at every small slump in price, the U.S. Gold Bureau commanded the full attention of bullion market.

In their latest web release, the U.S. Gold Bureau has published the gold price has received a small boost after news reports about the South Korean Naval ship that sank near the North Korean border.

Minor precious metals investors like you and I will ignorantly ask how the remote Korean incident can leave a mark on the global gold price movement. Nevertheless, the effect was true and all of us who recently bought some gold, stood to gain financially.

Yesterday, the gold price dipped again. Any takers?
