Machine washable Ju Ju Be.

I don’t understand my husband’s obsession with this citrus green color. He calls it lemon green always.

Whatever he buys such as Bed Spread, Pillow Covers, Ju Ju Be, Sofa Cover, Kitchen Apron, he will buy then in lemon green if available. That will be his first choice of color.

Among the goods mentioned above, I think you are wondering what a Ju Ju Be is-right? Yes, it is a rare name that doesn’t suggest what it is about. It is actually a diaper bag. (Smile) Didn’t expect that to be?

It is a reversible and machine washable diaper bag from the house of Forest & Zoe, a place to buy anything and everything stylish. The range varies from baby products, children’s clothing and shoes and toys.

Publisher Spot for bloggers.

I read about Publisher Spot in one of the blog posts of my friend Collingwood and he is not the English cricketer definitely.

The blogosphere is getting improved every day with advertisers offering newer ways to advertise their products and services in our blogs. I also noticed an increase in ad revenue for us.

In the last week itself, I was approached by three different companies that want me to put their text links in two of my other blogs. But so far, none advanced further.

More new companies approach a central marketing company who does the job of outsourcing the work for them from us.

PublisherSpot provides informative reviews and summaries of Internet ad network companies. Bloggers can learn a lot from these reviews of ad network companies before signing up with them.

There are a few companies that are new to me and that includes Banner Connect and Market Leverage. The reviews published by Publisher Spot is quite exhaustive.

Thank you Publisher Spot. You are very useful to me.

Improving Blog Placement Optimizing Title

In one of my previous publications, I have presented a way to swap parts of the blog post title the way that the post name will go before the blog name, as it is setup by default in the Blogger templates. There are multiple advantages of this simple transformation, both from aesthetical and Search Engines Optimization point of views. Your posts will be less competitive in respect to each other for a descent space on the search page for the particular search items. It is always good to have your main keywords (introduced in your Post title) of a specific blog post at the start rather than placing your blog title at the start. The situation improvement is even more significant, if the blog post title is very long. The method offered was tested, and its works on my Blogger blog posts.

This time, I want to present one more way to reach the same, or almost the same outcome (the only difference is a separation sign between blog post title and blog title). However, there is always good to have a choice. This time, credit goes to BloggerTricks blog.

Let’s make the process more visual.

Before the trick:
1
After the trick:
22
How to change:

As usual, Sign in to Blogger » Layout » Edit html and find this line in the current blog template:
<title><data:blog.title/></title>

Now, replace that line with the following code:

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == "item"'>
<title><data:blog.pageName/>
<data:blog.title/></title>
<b:else/>
<title><data:blog.pageTitle/></title> </b:if>

Save the Changes.
The method has been also tested on this blog, and it worked for me.

Buy baby bedding materials at...

Our family is probably the only one that can supply any of the baby bedding material such as plastic sheet, blanket, quilt, and quite a few crib hanging toys to anyone that has a need for them.

The crib hanging toys that my husband bought (he still buys) are highly appreciated by every family that has ever lent them. My husband has this unique habit of buying baby products even though we have no babies in our house. (Our house members’ average age is 34.)

He has got a separate cupboard that is stocked like the Baby Bedding Market. Yes, we too have a great array of baby bedding accessories, pacifiers, educational toys etc that we used to buy from Glenna Jean, Sumersault, Lambs & Ivy, Cocalo, Banana Fish and others...

Exapnd your blog readership!

Now, who is excited seeing the subject line? I am and I don't mind clicking on it even if the subject line seems familiar. I would not miss an opportunity to find ways to expand my blog readership.

I found out a blog promotion avenue and it is called Adoptic. It is still in beta but I signed up a month back I think.

How Adoptic will help bloggers?

Adoptic is a blog promotion platform that helps bloggers easily expand their readership by cross-promoting their posts. Adoptic helps bloggers create a Snippet of their blog posts, and then broadcasts the Snippets across the relevant Adoptic communities in a simple and easy way...

Actually I adopt this technique already by cross posting an excerpt of my few blog posts in other AdSense revenue hsaring websites directing the readers to the original blog post. Adoptic goes a step further and shows other bloggers' snippets on your blog. I think it looks like Blog Rush.

The gift of the rain.

Whenever the rain starts in late September, I remember a friend of my husband who arrives promptly with the rain to give huge a gift basket. The gift is not in association with any personal occasion or festival. He is just too happy to share the joy of rain with my husband. Both will freak out when the first rain comes.

And then he, the gift giver returns two days later and take the empty gift basket away. He never confided in us the reason for his action. What a peculiar character! I suppose he has this hobby of collecting empty gift baskets.

The rain started yesterday evening and my husband’s friend arrived at 10.00 PM and gave a wonderful gift basket which you see in this blog. This gift basket called Whit Jasmine Spa contained in it an assortment of goods that include Woods of Windsor White Jasmine Toilette Water, Body Moisturizer, Fine English Soap, Coconut-filled Chocolates, Cabernet Wine Cheese Spread and Monet Original Flavor Crackers -- all presented in a sassy black and white polka dot hatbox.

If you too want to give this to someone special, please visit chesapeakebaygiftbaskets.com. It costs $60.00

What happened at Blog Expo?

You, I and he wanted to attend the much advertised Blog World Expo but repressed the desire due to various reasons and money is of course the primary reason.

I was expecting a detailed blog post about what happened at Blog World Expo by someone and I am rather happy to find a nice article by one of the blogger that I have subscribed to his blog feed.

In his post titled, "Did Blog World Expo suck?", he was candid about his observation and conclusion. Sure, he met Darren Rowse, John Chow, Jeremy Shoemaker in the expo, had a chat. But he didn't gain anything fruitful at the conference as the attendance was mainly by new comers to the blogosphere.

The blogger Paul Piotrowski felt the absence of Google, Microsoft and Apple at the expo.

Please read his blog post to get a second hand view of the Blog World Expo.

How to Create a Killing Blog Post Title?

011348678

There are some many ways to improve your blog in terms of readability, search ability, attractiveness, organization, and so on, that the newbie blogger feels completely overwhelmed with amount of the available information and massive recommendations, sometimes controversial. Little-by-little, you start developing your own style, adopting some recommendations completely, rejecting others, and modifying the remaining group to accommodate your strategic goals, aesthetic and ethical views, and personal common sense. For me, it is probably time to seek improvement of my blog titles.

Hendry Lee is offering 10 templates on how to create killer titles for your blog posts that nobody could resist but got interested in the post content. Definitely, that does not present the complete solution. You cannot fit all your posts in one of the offered schematic forms. However, these templates give you overview of the killer titles generation approach. In many cases, you can use them “as is”, but be sure not overdoing that, following the internal voice of your personal common sense.

  1. How to ____
This is at the top of the list for a reason. It is simple yet very effective. It can be used almost for any technical (and not only) post.

Example: How to Win Friends and Influence People.
This is the title of Dale Carnegie’s book. It includes double benefits within a single title, which works extremely well.

  1. ____ Proven Strategies to ____
Fill the first blank with a number. This title works because it is specific. It also promises something in the content the readers can find and use. The effectiveness of the title, of course, depends on the benefit you include in the second blank space.

Example: 7 Proven Strategies to Save on Tax.

  1. Here’s a Way to _____ That Has Never Failed Yet!
This one is taken from an email subject line that generated a staggering 60% open rate. It works for sales copy and it can be used for blog post title too.

Example: Here’s a Way to Lose Weight That Has Never Failed Yet!

  1. Do You Make These Mistakes in ____?
Maxwell Sackheim wrote this headline. It became a legendary 40-year control ad. Many copywriters believe this is because of the headline.

What’s account for its stunning success? It is the word these.

Combining these and mistakes intrigue the audience to continue reading and find out what these mistakes are. Including the answers in the copy or content is important as well.

Example: Do You Make These Mistakes in Designing a Web Site?

  1. (Attention: ____,) Don’t ____ Until You Read This
In the first blank, you insert your target audience. Insert something desirable in the second blank space. The impact is much like the fourth title template above but with a qualifier. You may create a second variation by omitting the Attention: ____,” part.

Example: Attention: Newbie Blogger, Don’t Quit Your Job Until You Read This.

  1. Who Else Wants to ____ (in ____)?
Social proof is a powerful and effective psychological trigger to influence your audience to make a decision (like in buying a product). This same headline and title template has been overused in certain niche because it works. The second blank adds specificity into the title, usually a phrase that shows the readers how they could benefit by reading on.

Example: Who Else Wants to Drive 10,000 Unique Visitors to Their Blog in Two Hours?

  1. Need a ____?
A simple formula that identifies an unfulfilled desire the readers want to achieve. You can also rephrase the question to make it a problem instead of desire. Using this title template allows the readers to resonate with it immediately, even if they scroll down the page quickly.

Example: Need a Marketing Makeover?

  1. Stress Free ____
Insert a challenging problem the reader wants to remedy immediately. Something easy that fixes a problem without a lot of struggle is always appealing. You can also rephrase the title to include a desire instead of problem.

Example: Stress Free Ways to Improve Your Productivity

  1. Make ____ Work for You
This template promises to solve or fulfill something. In the previous template above, you emphasize on the benefit of the solution (stress free) but this one focuses on getting the problem solved (finally).

Example: Make Real Estate Investing Work for You.

  1. The Secret to ____ (is Simply ____)
Everyone wants to know a secret. It immediately puts him/her in the loop. Make sure you have something important and exclusive in the blog post though. Another twist is to immediately tell there is no secret at all to stress the simplicity of the solution, sort of a hidden benefit.

Example: The Secret of Selling Your Product on eBay

There is one more point: it is good to include one or two important keywords from those you target, but do not duplicate the same name in labels and keywords as you use in your title, as it might be considered rude by the Search Engines.

As you see, I have chosen for the title just one of the offered templates. However, you can do your home exercise and easily apply each of the offered templates to our topic of discussion. And remember, that title is just starter. If your blog post content does not match the striking title, or it is just boring, you lost it, as you could not keep your visitor at your virtual home for more than couple of seconds.

New opportunity to earn from your blogs.

One of my blog post Where can you buy unlocked cell phones?" has received a rather lengthy comment in which, there was no indication of having read my blog post. But the commentator
used the opportunity to introduce his/her website Contentxn publisher network. Yes, it is a 'earn money from your blogs' opportunity.

Contentxn is an open platform for writers who actively maintain websites or blogs or just have a mailing list of friends or subscribers, to inform and talk about their favorite products, services, websites or companies, and yes get paid for it. You can call it a blog monetization method.

I looked at their website, but could not exactly make out how a blogger can gain from it. However I signed up for free but I am yet to take active interest due to prior commitments.
Contentxn is still in beta and I think you require an invitation from them to sign up.

If you get to know about Contentxn more, I request you to either email me (email in my profile) or leave a feedback here.

Where can you buy unlocked cell phones?

“Are these unlocked cell phones ready to use immediately?” my son asked his relative who came from Singapore and emptied his shiny pouch of its contents.

A half a dozen mobile phones clattered on the glass top of our center table. I was not impressed at all. None looked new and good looking. But my son, who is for ever crazy about cell phones, immediately gathered them up and started examining.

For his question, his relative replied in affirmation which meant you can use it with any service provider. The initial tie up must have been over and the users dump them in the second sale market.

I know these unlocked cell phones are available online too and ustronics.com is leader in this field.

Assured ways to promote your blog posts.

I am probably one of the discreet fanatics to search for and compile ways to promote blog posts.
I also never fail to subscribe to such sources from which I learn blog promotion ideas, blog tools and tips and in fact anything and everything to do with blogging.

I am a passionate blogger; I have created so far more than 3000 posts since 2005. I know many bloggers regularly visit this blog but only a small percentage of them have subscribed to this blog's feed.

I read the blog post titled, "13 ways to promote..." by the famous Darren Rowse. He is simply amazing and can be looked upon as Godfather of all bloggers. I rank him along Pete Cashmore and John Chow. And Etienne Teo is also fast rising in popularity and his contents are simply superb.

Out of the 13 ways shown by Darren Rowse, I realize I am following only about a dozen ways that every blogger does and so far never explored other ways such as an ad campaign in stumbleupon, press releases, mainstream media pitch etc.

Merged your feeds with Google?

Merging your blog feeds provided by Feedburner with Google is now automatic. Initially I did not know how to do it and then saw an offer from Google itself since it now owns Feedburner.

After I gave permission to Google, the transition was completed by Google though it took more than 3 weeks. Well, I suppose Google was loaded with requests from zombies like me. (smile)

Then I configured my blogs' feed to get inserted with Google AdSense. Yes, the subscribers to your RSS feeds will also see ads by Google in the syndicated content. Surprisingly, the first day itself, I got a click from the Feeds' ads.

Those who have no idea what I am talking about, please go to the settings of your blog from your blogger dashboard and click on 'Site Feed' and you will know.

What is Google PageRank?

One of the users of my Blog asked for clarification of what is meaning and importance of the Google (PageRank) for the blog and site popularity. There are online arguing among SEO specialists of how important the PR is for improving your site popularity and site indexing in Search Engines, however, everybody agree on the fact of the higher PR - better. Some Q & A on the topic:

What is Pagerank and how does it work?

PageRank is a system implemented by Google that measures a web page’s significance only taking into account the links and links related factors. The fundamentals are that each web page is giving votes to the links on that page and the power of the vote is established by the number of links pointing to the page that gives the vote. The votes are divided among the links on the page so the lesser number of links, the more share of the vote is given to each link.

How often does Google update their PR?

Google representatives, such as engineer Matt Cutts, have publicly indicated that the Toolbar PageRank is republished about once every 3 months, indicating that the Toolbar PageRank values are generally unreliable measurements of actual PageRank value for most periods of the year. However, PR is updated at Google daily (or close to daily). New links are factored into the equation and they are applied to a page’s PR. You just cannot see this PR until Google does its next public PR update.

What is the importance of the Google PageRank?

PageRank is important as it used by Google to determine the quality of a Web site. Having a high PageRank will result in faster and more successful search engine positioning. The basic requirements of a high PageRank are: Good Web Site Structure - Structuring your site in a simple and user-friendly fashion will add to your PageRank. The highest PageRank possible for good structure is PageRank 3. To rank higher than a 3, you need good quality links pointing to your site.

How to check Google PageRank for any Website?

While there are many free services and free programs, that are able to check PageRank for any Website, I would recommend using the new free service URLMetrix that is able to check any URL for multiple metrics like: Google Page Rank, Alexa Rank, Compete Rank, Quantcast Rank, Technorati Rank, Google Indexed, Yahoo Indexed, Google Backlinks, Technorati Blog reactions and lots more.

To give a proper ending for the topic of discussion, I want to present nice lyrical song dedicated to PageRank for all current and prospective Webmasters:

PageRank Lyrical Song

Search engine blogs that we must read.

Whether we read blogs in our sam niche or not, we should read the blogs of search engines daily without fail.

I am glad to have read a blog post titled, "10 search engine blogs...". To me, it is a source of very useful information. Every blogger who is striving very hard to rank high in the search engine results should know what is going on in the search engine industry.

I have an ardent desire to master the art of searching the Internet using search engines. As a blogger, I should be proud to claim that I can bring the exact search results for any thing in less than 2 minutes. It is my aim.

Do you know that he Pandia Search Central gives Internet surfers access to several tools that will help them become more able net searchers.? This I read in above mentioned blog post.

Visit the link now and read the content thoroughly. I thank the blogger Prashant Vikram Singh.

A blog dedicated to recruitment.

You don’t come across these kinds of blogs every day. Even I did not find this employment industry blog by chance or by searching; I was directed to this blog by one of my blog readers.

EmploymentMetrix.com is a recruitment blog created by Beyond.com, Inc., the world’s largest network of niche career communities.

I think I am late by about 5 days to visit employmentmetrix.com because, the latest blog post I was asked to read was titled, and “Would you work for $1 per year”. But when I visited the blog, the last blog post titled, “Show love to older candidates”.

Well, this blog post provided tips to prospective employers and requested them to recruit older and experienced people for their wisdom and sincerity.

Hello fellow bloggers, if you happen to be on the other side of 60, why don’t you take a closer look at employmentmetrix.com for gainful employment?

Medical software for doctors and patients.

My son was complaining tightness in chest. I thought he did not express his discomfort properly. He is too young to have any abnormalities in his chest. After much questioning, he told me that he is not burping after taking food.

Ah, yes, the symptoms that my husband had a couple of years ago. It is something to do with a block in the passage of lungs that also makes breathing a bit difficult. I took him to a doctor and he led my son properly with more apt questions.

He finally prescribed a full dose of albuterol to him. This was a different one from the one he gave to my husband. When apologetically questioned, he informed me that his prescription is the right one as he referred to the Epocrates Online medical software that is constantly updated with various diseases and new medicines.

This revolutionary medical software is currently being used by 500,000 healthcare professionals. The free Epocrates Online product provides clinicians with instant access to new disease database – condition overview and risk factors, treatment approach, tests to order, national medical society guidelines, and more.

This announcement was paid for by Epocrates.

Bloggerplugins Help to Optimize Blog Title for Search Engines

You have probably already noticed that when you search Google for something and your blog is present in the search results the Title of the result will be of the form: Blog Title + Post Title. This type of a title is not very attractive to the searchers, and your posts at some degree compete each other. Here is a hack that will change the title to the following more attractive format: Post Title + Blog Title. This trick will help you to optimize the blog title for Search Engines and is expected to drive more visitors to your blog.

Note that it will take some time for the new title format to appear in the search results (actually, following the next re-indexation of your blog by the crawling spider).

Please visit developer Website and follow the recommended way of code modification: http://www.bloggerplugins.org/2007/09/optimise-blog-title-for-search-engine.html

AdSense Ads Management Plugin for WordPress Blogs

-
If you are using Wordpress, and you care for effective blog monetization with Google AdSense, this plugin must be for you. The plugin Adsense Injection will help you setup AdSense on your Wordpress with no complications.

It only adds your AdSense code into the body of your Wordpress blog and not into the side panels or the footer or the banner area. And you do not have to change any AdSense code or play with files.

This Google AdSense plugin is so easy to use. Say, you are able to edit the template of your blog and you edit the header file and the left sidebar file to include your AdSense Code in there, you then only have to set the limit of the ads that the AdSense Injection script shows in the body of your blog to a maximum of 1. That will automatically hide your AdSense Ads from yourself to avoid accidental clicks, as you choose that in the settings.

You can also change the way the AdSense ads display in your blog posting area and you can change the type of AdSense blocks that are displayed with just one click. Since the AdSense Injection Plugin will show different types of AdSense blocks at random if you choose more than one type of ad, your visitors will not always see the same Ad blocks and this will lead to an increase in your AdSense earnings.

Before long, this kind of simple text blogs will be replaced by video blogs. The reason it is taking time to rule the blogosphere is the lck of technical assistance to text bloggers like me..

But how about this simple copy and paste video blogging software? I think this will make my task easier and I also have a feeling that I can handle this blogging tool easily.

Video Utility Poster

This is offered by none other than the legendary Jack Humphrey, a true authority in blog promotion. I have found out about him only yesterday and I am yet to leave his several blogging tools and web sites.

I am sure you will also have the same experience when you first visit his website.

Find out your blog's feed rank.

After much brain storming and hair pulling over the issue of how to get more blog traffic, I have found out one avenue to increase visitors to the blogs. It is by submitting the blog's RSS feed to important blog feed directories we can definitely see some increase in visitors to our blogs.

Let me start introducing a little over 100 excellent RSS feed directories. I would like you to make a note of RSS Micro where it is just a breeze to submit your blog feed URL and get it ranked too by them.

They use an algorithm that checks 16 different areas to give a rank to your blog. And they even give a you a short HTML code which when displayed in your blog shows the feed rank given by RSS micro.

I have given below a sample of it. This is given to one of my blogs Find a Product.

RSSMicro FeedRank Results

Incidentally, this blog's feed also gets the same rank (1/10)

Women's specific heart monitor.

I thought I am finally burning the fat because of my 20 minutes stint at the new treadmill my son bought it for me. Now please don’t imagine me as a fat woman. I am still slender overall or at least I give that impression.

I have accumulated quite a lot of fat in my belly and I am covering it with great care. I was assured that I will regain my shape after 30 hours at the treadmill.

So, I was naturally disappointed with the results of the tests that were taken after 35 hours. I was asked to spend more time per day at the treadmill and I must measure the calories burned with the use of Polar Heart Monitor.

Believe me, if I write about its full feature, this blog post will run into two pages. I will confine to the gist of it:

“Polar heart monitor helps keep you in your Target Zone, and OwnCal to track the calories you burn during your exercise. With stopwatch and convenient button free operation, the F4 is a valuable fitness tool.”

An invitation from leading publisher.

I was pleasantly surprised to receive an invitation from one of India's leading new paper publishers to write for them as a freelance writer.

I am simply thrilled at the invitation itself even before I could reply to them. Yes, I am yet to send in my acceptance and here I am sharing the news with you because I am very happy and this has been possibly because of you as my blog's regular readers.

I have visualized such an invitation about 4 months before, after I blogged about my admiration of one of their freelance writers' excellent article on the power of silence.

Now, I am eagerly looking forward to work with this news paper group and I will share here my experience and also my articles.

Recent Posts Widget on your Blogger Blog

In one of my previous publications, I have offered the opportunity to embed the Blogger pluging to post 10 recent posts summaries on a sidebr of your Blogger Blog. The problem is - the script did not work on Blogger. With my weak programming knowledge, the best thing I could do was to find a valid substitute solution. Here you can access the site, offering to generate such a plugin.

The Recent Posts Widget displays recent posts summaries in your sidebar. You can customize this widget to display the recent posts of any blogger blog that you like, you can customize the number of posts to display, whether or not to display a post summary and the size of this summary (in number of characters). Just Fill Out the Details in the Widget installer, and it will be automatically transferred to your Blogger Blog layout for update.

This time, I personally tested it, and confirmed that the plugin code works fine.

Useful widgets for blogs.

I have installed these excellent widgets in my blog Web Tools Gallery. Please go there, take a look and come back here.

I happened to find these widgets in Blog Catalog.
The widgets are:
Live activity widget shows a real-time list of your blog's latest visitors—where they came from, and what post they are reading. I find it very amusing.

Tag cloud widget displays the top tags for your blog.

Feed Content widget displays the most recent 50 posts from your blog.

There are more to the list. You can also visit the place where these widgets are given away.
Visit http://www.wowzio.com/

I love these great widgets that perform excellently without any glitch.
