Improve your PageRank by optimizing internal links

PageRank is widely considered as important factor for your blog or webpage to improve its position in the Search Engines results. It is calculated according to the number of external links which point to your pages, but also according to the internal links, could be identified on your site.
LinkSpirit is open source freeware, specialized in managing and optimization of internal links.
It will help you to:
  • Calculate and optimize the internal distribution of your PageRank.
  • Calculate PageRank lost by the bad exploitation of your internal links.
  • Check your internal links, detect the dead links and perform manual or auto-correction of these links.
  • Identify the orphan pages and of pages hidden by the "robots" instruction or by the robots.txt file.
  • Identify the file names not respecting HTML standards (because of accents or spaces) and fix these names.
  • Find out the links using the wrong character ’ instead of / and perform autocorrection of these links.
  • Check the syntax of your "robots.txt" file, create or edit this file using an assistant.
  • Edit the code of your pages in text mode.
  • Edit the "robots" meta tag.

Hiring bloggers in home automation field.

During my span of blogging career (yes, I consider it as a career), I have come across hundreds of blog posts in the home automation products. Unfortunately, I have not kept track of those blog posts because I could have at least considered buying a few of them for my new home.

I never expected that I will build my home at the foot of the hills.

Oh, I am off the subject-right? My apologies dear.

I came across a blog post about someone hiring bloggers who know something about home automation products. There is no mention about the amount you get paid per post.

Why don't you read my original post at The Shelters? And please pass on this post to your friends that may be interested.

Can Acne solution make you show your face?

I would say very few men and women will venture out with pimples on their face. With blemish on their face, they dare not show their face. This psychological reaction is capitalized by manufacturers of hundreds of acne products.

We even probably may not know what the latest arrival is? And we don’t mostly seek medical opinion when affected with acne. We gather opinion from near and dear and conclude that if a product worked for one, then it will do the same for us.

There are service minded webmasters who gather product opinion from users like you and then rate the acne products based on feedback and other parameters and publish for the world through web site.

Is Bruunhause intensive acne solution is good? How it is rated? Find out from getacnetreatments.com

Where can you sell your blog's ad space?

Well I reckon many but have I made any attempts to sell text ad links in my blog? Yes, just a couple of times but they did not yield any results. When at the time of offering the my services, this very blog at Google PR 4.

The next day, it is stripped to zero page rank. I think the mighty and angry Google, somehow knew of my devious plans to raise money from my blogs and slapped me in my face hard and square.

But that not deter me. I still offer to place text links but not in my blog but in my general web directory.

There are 9 places to sell text link ads in your website as per the knowledge of Arun Pal Singh. Yes, he is my fellow country man.

I am aware of all the places he has mentioned and I would add Digital Point Forum too. There are definitely a lot of forum based market places like DP forum but this is the best where one can sell text link ads.

Feedjit (http://feedjit.com/) is offering a widget that provides important information about who is visiting your blog or website. An entry is posted to the widget every time a person arrives at your website and again when the person leaves. Feedjit entries list referring web site where your visitors came from, what was their post of interest, and their geographical location. To visualize the gadget, Feedjit also posts a little flag near every entry to indicate what country each visitor is from. Feedjit also offers a separate map widget that shows the locations of the last 100 visitors to your website.

The offered widgets are all free and you do not need to register to get them for your blog or website. They are also extremely lightweight and won’t slow your site down.

If you’re a Blogger or Typepad user you can install any of the widgets with one click. If you use a different blogging platform or website, you can simply cut and paste the provided script into your blog template or website HTML. Feedjit will appear in the position you paste the script.

Rare old coins from Monaco.

As we age and increase our pace, chasing the money, we are forced to give up most of our small pleasures that we used to derive by pursuing one or two hobbies. For most of us, stamps collection will be introduced very early in our age either by our class mates or by a senior.

As we climb the ladder, we tend to forego the hobby and sometimes replace it with more intelligent and rewarding hobby such as rare coins collection, match labels collection, figurines collection and so on.

I took a fancy to numismatics when I entered my school final and pursued it with active interest till I got married. Over the years, I realized that not just anyone can build a world class rare coin portfolio, and do so cost-effectively.

I realized that I need to spend money to make a reasonably worth showing portfolio and for that I must be in contact with a dealer with vast resources, broad-based experience and an unending commitment to providing the utmost in service to the customer. It takes an expert . . . like Monaco Rare Coin.

Monaco Rare Coin is part of the Monex family of companies, a trusted leader in precious metals investments for nearly 40 years.

Which one gives total internet protection.

There is a widespread realization that virus attacks are on the decline these days-what do you say?

I would say yes from my experience and the reason for this well being? Is it because there are less culprits now are we are using better protected anti virus software?

I would vote for the former point. Let us hope people are changing for the better. But for those, who don't agree with my opinion, I would like to recommend Kaspersky® Internet Security 7.0 Triple Threat Protection.

I have been using it though it is time now for renewal. I am very much relieved for the past year and nothing bothered me.

But my son favors McAfee and says that is the best in the lot. Even Norton is pushed to the third rank now.

Changing AdSense background increases CTR.

Shall we say millions of people are looking for ways to increase their AdSense CTR? If so, those advertise through Google will be exploring ways to get higher conversion rates-right?

Well, I am not advertising and I am only a publisher. Yes, I am one of those millions who are looking to increase the CTR but I also wish for a higher conversion ratio for the advertisers.

I read in a blog that changing the background of AdSense is a sure way to get more clicks-is that so? What is your experience?

Can be insert images, patterns in our AdSense? if so, is it allowed? if allowed, do you have any idea how to do it?

Question and more questions; where is the answer?

Regency Beauty Institute is not only famous in America but also in Sri Lanka. I found out this three months back when I was watching a Twenty20 cricket match in my city. I was sitting next to a bunch of boisterous Sri Lankan girls and boys.

During a conversation with a girl, she introduced to me as the owner of a beauty clinic in Colombo. She was trained by top notch beauticians in one of the beauty schools in illinois run by Regency Beauty Institute.

Her cosmetology salon is fitted with ultra modern fitness and beautifying equipments. She was all praise for Regency president Hayes Batson and her commitment towards exceptional education.

Regency Beauty Institute was founded more than 50 years ago in Minneapolis and is the fastest growing beauty school in the country.

Echoing your site for traffic building.

Sites Echo is a social bookmarking web site that someone introduced to me three days before. I have been using it and I am satisfied with the results so far.

As to the user interface, there is nothing new and I find it advantageous as I find it easy to navigate. Of late, all the social bookmarking sites seems to use the same script.

However their is one distinct advantage in this site and that is the number of categories they have created which makes it easy to submit my blog posts.

The site is new and there are very few links at present. There is information about the promoter of the website.

Have you visited this pearl paradise?

I belong to a community of traditional pearl lovers and we attach great significance to the type of pearls we wear. We don’t buy pearls off the shelves of jewelry shop.

Our jeweler (though I would not term it in the usual sense) is introduced to our family by our ancestors. I would call him as collector of rare pearls and he will not concern himself with anything else but pearls.

I remember rejecting a string of rare Tahitian pearls long before just because they were black in color as it is against our belief to wear black gems.

Our jeweler was disappointed with me. He explained that those glorious pearls are mainly grown in the clear, warm waters of French Polynesia, in the large black-lip oysters named Pinctada Margaritifera. Each Tahitian pearl is very unique and does not resemble any other.

No, I was not interested. But I did help him sell the Tahitian pearls to my close friend as she was the only person that could afford it at that time.

Drive traffic by promoting other people’s content.

So this is a way to get traffic to your blog Mr.Javo? I read your blog post fully and I must commend your passion for blog marketing. You are explicit and thorough.

Yes, I catch your idea alright but do you sincerely believe that Digg and Stumbleupon sends traffic to your web site. Yes I agree they do but unless your story is dugg by at least 60 persons, I don't think you will get anywhere.

I guess the same parameters apply for Stumbleupon also. Balacatalog and Mybloglog are my definite favorites.

I urge bloggers to read his good article titled "drive traffic...". He is good and there are more good stuff there.

Some directory owners ego.

I have been a directory owner since three years and having faced difficulties while submitting in other directories, I have removed all of them and made the front end a breeze to the users.

I had wasted 30 minutes in http://www.all-linkdirectory.com/ just now. After the first 15 minutes of struggling, I managed to get submit one directory of mine.

But I just was not lucky in my next attempt. Wasted full 15 minutes and decided that it is a bitter fruit.

That webmaster had the last laugh on me when my message to him can't be send through. The error message was "Invalid Input".

The reason for my frustration is their captcha that produced characters that only telescopes can read. The audio didn't help at all.

Try it if you dare.

Twingly delivers spam-free blogs search results

With growing popularity of blogging, there is inevitable parallel growth of the spam blogs sometimes called splogs. These are artificially (and mostly automatically) created weblog sites, used to promote affiliated websites or to increase the search engine rankings of associated sites. The purpose of a splog can be to increase the PageRank or backlink portfolio of affiliate websites, to artificially inflate paid ad impressions from visitors, and/or use the blog as a link outlet to get new sites indexed. Spam blogs are usually a type of scraper site, where content is often either inauthentic text or merely stolen from other websites. These blogs usually contain a high number of links to sites associated with the splog creator which are often disreputable or otherwise useless websites.
All the responsible organizations like blogging platform providers or affiliate marketing companies are doing their best to weed out the splogs from the blogosphere, however, the sploggers, equipped with automatic software and modern techniques, are able to generate new splogs in stead of removed in no time. Unfortunately, readers are suffering from splogs as well. When you have to pass through several splogs, looking for information, before you get to the real blog, you waste your time, you loose your money, and the real blog ranking and visibility can be diminished as well because of the “splog competitors”.
This problem is addressed by Swedish company Twingly, promising to deliver spam-free search results. In June, it opened up its blog search engine to the public. At present, it offers two search options: regular search and spam-free search; the latter is still in beta testing. It now covers 30 million blogs, and results can be sorted by authority (number of incoming links) or most recent posts. A spam-free search option only brings back results from the hundreds of thousands of white-list blogs known to be real.
"The traditional way of building a spam-free index is to remove spam blogs as they are discovered, but we are starting from scratch, only adding spam-free blogs to the index," said Martin Källström, CEO at Twingly. The benefit is better results; the drawback is a longer development phase. Before ending the beta phase, Twingly wants the spam-free index to include several million blogs. "At that point the plan is to remove the regular search option," he said.
To keep spam out, Twingly uses its own algorithm. One thing its algorithm does when adding a new a blog to the index is look at other blogs it links to. Linking to other known spam-producing blogs is usually a bad thing. Combating spam has become a must for search companies, according to Källström. Since spam blogs are now considered to stand for the majority of the blog posts worldwide, traditional search engines are becoming useless.
Check Twingly search results: http://www.twingly.com/
Bloggers might consider ping Twingly to include their blogs in the trusted database.
To promote its search engine among bloggers, Twingly developed and distributes freely an attractive screensaver, visualizing the global blog activity in real time. Forget RSS readers where you see only what you’re interested in. With Twingly screensaver you get a 24/7 stream of all (viewer discretion advised) blog activity, straight to your screen.

A blog reviewed.

This seems to be a little dull period in the blogosphere. Some of the blogs that I visit regularly offer nothing interesting to me.

I thought I will visit a few blog directories and try to latch onto something useful for my blog readers. But it seemed my selection of blog directories was awesome because I took nearly 12 minutes to land on a blog topic of my interest. The navigation is ill devised.

I finally settled on Bloggertizer.com where it has published all the blogs that are registered with them as potential blog advertisers.

I browsed through their list of blogs and randomly selected a blog based on the domain which was "I need Discipline" and the summary explained that it is a blog about earning an income online through advertising networks, affiliate marketing, get-paid-to programs and linking.

I was put off at the home page.

But there is a very useful blog post about 19 blog advertising networks under make money tab.

Diet Pills review site.

Diet Pills reviews is one of the most sought after information in the web. Excluding me (I am very lean) and many others like me, there are literally millions of concerned over weight people who are searching the Internet frequently the correct diet pill that is proven to have produced promised results.

Previously, we all used to receive product brochures on diet pills through snail mail; now we see many emails a day recommending one diet pill or the other. It is difficult to make a decision on which recommendation to take seriously.

ConsumerPricewatch.net publishes diet pill product reviews. There are nearly about two hundred diet pills in the market and consumerpricewatch.net has published the top ten diet pills based on 12 valid criteria.

Make money as a blogger.

I have received an email from Bloggeries.com introducing a website that offers an opportunity to earn cash from our blogs.

I have registered my blog with Contextual Style (yes, an odd name for these kind of websites) and awaiting for approval.

The service pays bloggers to do reviews on their blogs. Naturally they expect blog must have a Google page rank 1 or higher to be approved.

PR1-2 blogs are paid $5 dollars for every link placement they make on their blog and pr3+ are paid $10 dollars per post.

If this is something your interested in you can start by signing up at Contextual Style.

Death Sentence for "Bad" Bloggers in Iran

009851833

Blogging as one of the essential means of the “free speech” propagation in the modern society is seen as significant threat by the religious conservative Iranian government. About a year and a half ago, the Iranian government officially demanded that all bloggers, who are Iranian citizens, have to register and provide their names and addresses on a site called Samandehi. Many people have their reasons to believe that such a process would facilitate legal action against them, if they continue to post censorship-free publications on their blogs. Bloggers resisted and many published an “I do not register my blog/site” banner on their blogs. The Government then realized it cannot have real control of the situation in the blogosphere, or force bloggers to register. However, it is doing everything possible to shut down “inappropriate” blogs, and even jail the responsible bloggers.

There is a history of the bloggers’ prosecution in Iran as well. Blogging about subjects such as minority rights and freedom of speech and religion has already carried a risk. In 2005, blogger Mojtaba Saminejad was tried before a local court in Teheran charged with insulting the prophets, which carries the death penalty. He was eventually acquitted. Last year, two Kurdish bloggers were sentenced to death on charges of subversive activities against national security, spying and separatist propaganda.

To strengthen a legal base for the bloggers prosecution, on Wednesday, Iranian members of parliament voted to discuss a draft bill that seeks to “toughen punishment for disturbing mental security in society.” The text of the bill would add “establishing websites and weblogs promoting corruption, prostitution and apostasy” to the list of crimes punishable by death. Apostasy is defined by dictionary.com as “a total desertion of or departure from one’s religion, principles, party, cause, etc.” but in Iran it could have a wide-ranging and flexible meaning. The government might simply use the bill at its convenience, physically removing non-cooperating bloggers from the map.

Blogging is wildly popular in Iran, where a new generation of young people frequently challenges the old, hyper-conservative religious government. The Committee to Protect Bloggers says that Iran is "among the worst offenders in terms of harassing, arresting and imprisoning bloggers, as well as students." The Iranian government has already blocked access to many respected sites as Facebook, Yahoo! and Flickr, among others.

009851831

Even the president if Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has his own blog. Is he in danger now as well?

009851832

Bazri, one of the Iranian bloggers, warns: “We should do our best to stop members of parliament from approving this draft bill. Tomorrow it will be too late. It is easy to accuse a blogger of apostasy and corruption. Let’s tell the Parliament that to think differently is not a crime that should be punishable by death.”

But who can tell Iranian government that they are wrong? Can international community do something to save our brothers-bloggers from prosecution? As small, as we can do, please support the case, whenever you can, wherever you go!

Mature health center offers…

Maturehealthcenter.com is the most comprehensive website for our insurance needs. The site is neatly designed and offers lot of insurance packages to suit every individual.

The fact that it is accredited by BBB instills a sense of confidence to deal with them. They offer medicare supplement, dental insurance, life insurance besides income based annuity financial product.

I would like to point the importance of medicare supplement which we normally confuse with usual medicare insurance. There are certain deductibles and uncovered items in medicare and such things are taken care of by medicare supplement provided my maturehealthcenter.com

Do pay a visit to them.

No Google ads below the title?

Now here is a news that I find it somewhat odd and confusing. I was reading the blog of a compatriot and I came across a post in which he has written that showing adsense ad units below the header of the post leads to it’s policy violation.

Is that true? How do you check out this rule? I have a WP blog in which the ads appear at the top of the post but so far there are no clicks on that.

I have subscribed to the feeds of the most useful and active forum on Google Adsense and I must read it daily. What a laziness has crept in me!

I know it is a good place to have the ads by Google but if it violates Google's policy, what is the solution? The Bombay blogger Rohit suggests to place adbrite ads.

Want to read Rohit's blog post?

Post your resume for San Francisco jobs.

My son takes after his father than me. He doesn’t like crowded place whereas I love them in fact. I like people around me speaking various languages, wearing colorful dresses and following myriad cultures.

My son is exactly opposite to all my preferences. Unfortunately he got a job in Oakland, one of the largest cities in California. Knowing his dislikes, I cautioned him before he applied for one of San Francisco jobs but he convinced me that he may be lucky in getting a placement in one of the more peaceful cities like San Jose.

Now he is crestfallen and I and his father are showering our love on him hoping that might pacify him to some extent.

Only time will tell.

The reason for blog traffic drop.

* So, the oil price is galloping towards $150 per barrel.
* Petrol bunks are shutting down.
* Freighters are off the road
* Essential goods' price have become beyond the means of many including me.
* Flight tickets' price is increased
* Travel related websites have reported drop in traffic and sales.

I agree the atmosphere is gloomy but why this very blog is getting lesser number of visitors for the past week? Have my blog readers have turned their attention else where?

Am I not blogging regularly or is something wrong with my content?

Just exactly what is happening? sad

Tell me please...
