Need a sponsor for your blog?

Who would say 'No' to this question?

I take your 'Yes' for an answer as granted and I am glad to introduce to you Blogging Sponsorships, a market place for bloggers and sponsors.

There is not any big process to register and remember the password and all that. It is a very simple process.

Just take time to browse through their website and look at the blogs that are listed there waiting for sponsorship. This is just to give you an idea of the concept.

Click on 'Submit' and fill up the form which is the routine thing we have done while submitting o blog directories.

Finally, you will see a message that explains about listing fee. Wait! I have not yet finished.
If you want to list your blog for free, just write a review about this service and inform the webmaster about your review and send your permalink for your post.

Spread the word bloggers. Let us help each other.

Dclickads-the market place for us.

I am again writing about earning from blogs through sponsor ads-text ads, banner ads etc.
The marketplace for publishers and advertisers is provided by dclickads.com.

Responding to my previous post on the same topic, a few of my blog readers have intimated me that they have registered their blogs with dclickads. But I did not receive any further feedback from them.

What I like about dclickads is the advertisers can view the profiles of all the registered publishers and choose the one that can be useful to their ad campaign.

Another notable feature is filtering. As there are so many publishers, an advertiser can view the profiles by filtering out the category.

For a publisher, there are three options to choose the type of ads they would like to publish in their website or blog namely, text links, banner ads and embedded links.

This is the kind of market place that will serve the interest of both the advertisers and webmasters.

Do you like widgets?

Widgets are great invention-right. With a just a sentences characters, it functions are amazing.

I am of the opinion that interactive widgets are part of the web 2.0 technology. Even yahoo has a big library of widgets; I have used them once for fun. They are very colorful to place in our blogs.

Go to http://gadgetsdirectory.blogspot.com/
The blogger simply loves widgets and derives great pleasure in categorizing and presenting them in his blog.

I spent sometime browsing the directory and liked a lot. I would like to mention a particular widget called Daylight Map an interactive map showing which areas of the Earth are currently in daylight, and which are in darkness.

Nothing to hide here.

I strongly suspect many celebrities and young women are not yet aware of the products of Lovefifi.com that sells open tip bras and sexy looking lingerie. In this era, where exaggeration of one’s figure boosts self confidence, women would surely try out new outfits that enhance their shape.

Open tip bras expose the breasts but not fully giving them a rather full figure image.

But won’t it seem as if one is not wearing a bra at all? May be that is the purpose of the open tip bras.

Well, I am too old to wear them but I can recommend to some of my husband’s friends who are involved in the cine world.

Resources for blog content.

When I tried to motivate some of my close friends to blog and earn in their spare time, the first question all of them asked was, "What to blog about?".

Though I found the question as not very intelligent, I don't blame them. Initially, most of the bloggers will be dazed when they enter blogopshere. Not everyone is fully well versed with internet marketing.

For such newbies who don't have a clue to what to write in their blogs, here is an excellent blog post that I read just now. It is titled “23 Great Ideas For Blog Posts”
The author of the blog is Pat B. Doyle.

I like to point out one of the 23 points.
"Take something that is controversial and tell how you feel about it. Just be careful to be respectful to both sides. You don’t want it to turn into a flame war. Besides, it is just more professional to state your opinion in a calm, objective way."

Pay him a visit. He deserves it.

Gift for house warming ceremony.

For gift ideas for house warming ceremony, I am approached always. Oh, for that matter, people seek my suggestion for gift ideas for any occasion.

So, when my ex-boss informed me that he bought his 3 bedroom independent house in Rio Verde, I arranged to send him a bonsai Banyan tree. It is also a symbolic gift.

But at first I really did not know where Rio Verde is. When I looked up in the world map, I found out that it is a part of Maricopa County in Arizona. Actually my ex-boss would have selected this location because of the presence of many Indian communities though he did not confide in me. The largest of these are the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community and the Gila River Indian Community.

He only emailed me that he bought his property through Sonoran Properties who are rated among the most reliable realtors in Arizona with more than 10 years of experience. They have advised him that price appreciation in Arizona luxury real estate is considerably higher than other states in the U.S.

I am happy for my ex-boss and I sent him a silent blessing.

Get paid to blog-How much it is worth?

At least about 8 times a day, I come across the Google adword by ibibo.com under the title 'Get paid to blog' or something similar to that.

I had already written a review about that website.

Today, I decided to find out how much they are paying per click and how many people search with the same key words.

There is a very good tool to check such data and it is offered by Techno Bloggie.

Below is their estimate for the keyword, "Get paid to blog"

Max Bid: $3.51
Estimated Daily Search Volume: 159
Estimated Monthly Search Volume: 4794
Estimated Daily Clicks: 2.40 (This is for the top AdWords Position)
Market Value: $252.72 (This is how much the top AdWords Position would pay for all the monthly clicks for this keyword)
AdSense Effective CPM: $105.23 (Assumes a 60% revenue share from adSense, and a 5% CTR on ad units)

I know that Google doesn't give it a 'Top adword position' for all the places the adword appears.

So, they seem to be paying $252.72 every month for all the clicks but they promise much more every month by way of prizes!

My curiosity matches with Synovate’s.

If Synovate express themselves as “The world’s most curious people”, then they can add me in their team as my curiosity can match theirs (smile).

Synovate is a multi faceted company operating in 52 countries and India is also among them. To satisfy my curiosity, I tried to find out if they have an office in Madras (Chennai) and yes, they have one! And my house is just 5 minutes drive away from them!

Among various functions, market research seems to be their main activity and their job is to learn what people like, and why they like the things they like.-wonderfully said.

Their area of expertise is diverse that includes advertising, brand image creation, call center, business consulting and more.

When manufacturers approach them to do a market survey, Synovate don’t simply take up the task but help their client with their knowledge of the product and help the manufactures offer their products according what people like.

The organizations that joined forces to form Synovate included some of the most dynamic and well-established research agencies in the world.

Recommend articles to your readers.

I want you to read a comment on my previous post about Blast Feed and then read below.

The said widget provided by Roll Sense can be good addition to bloggers who are busy to update their blog on a regular basis. Their regular readers will find something to read and thus won't be disappointed.

I like several features while creating this widget.

· You decide where the recommended articles come from

· recommended articles relate to the post a reader reads

· you can track the inbound traffic from other sites using rollSense, as well as the outbound traffic you generate to your trusted sources of information

· rollSense can also be used to only display the latest posts from your blogroll or posts filtered by your keywords.

The sidebar in my blog is already very long; otherwise I would have installed the widget in this blog as an example.

Heavenly stay at Excalibur-Las Vegas.

I rubbed my eyes in disbelief when I received that wedding invitation. It was from a long forgotten friend. I last saw her in Virginia and then lost contact with her completely.

Her daughter was getting married to an hotelier. I did not know that she had a daughter at the age for a marriage. Oh, time flies and flies very fast really.

The venue of the wedding was in chapel inside hotel Excalibur Las Vegas. I was surprised-a wedding chapel inside a hotel?

But when I went to the wedding, I was even more surprised by the size of the hotel and amenities in those huge bedrooms. It is not possible for me to write everything about the hotel, so I would request you to click on the link above.

i4vegas.com personally visit every hotel listed on their site prior to offering those rooms for booking to insure the highest level of customer satisfaction. For the best hotels in Las Vegas, our destination should be i4vegas.com.

A very useful feed tool for bloggers.

I am yet to come in to the grip of RSS feed tools though, I have subscribed to several feeds. Also, I am yet to use a feed reader apart from Google and Yahoo.

I find it difficult sometimes to manage all those feeds because I need to weed out a few extra that come in. If only there is a way to filter....

Yes, here it is Blast Feed. It combines several feeds into a single feed or channel by applying a keyword filter. For instance, if you wish to receive only the news items that contain a keyword, say ‘blog tools’, this service could come in handy.

"Blastfeed will only collect items that match your criteria in each feed. The results will be amalgamated into a single file and sent to you by email, Instant Messaging or as a new RSS feed, when and where you want it."-Blast Feed

I can receive the feeds through my email or even IM.

This is a web based service and hence there is nothing for us to download. As usual, we can type the feed url if we know or just browse and select the feeds and add them in Blast Feed.

Do you love Inns?

From the times of reading English Classic to the contemporary Jeffery Archer and Robert Ludlum, I have developed a fascination for country inns. Vivid description of those inns in remote villages by Arthur Conan Doyle and the respective hosts who are always old and kind still etched in my memory.

I believe it will be the same for many Indians for whom such concepts are new.Invariably, those inns are called Bed and Breakfast inns because travelers and passersby stop over only for a quick brunch after catching a short nap. I suppose the inns are meant only for that and not for longer stay.

If you are also the person who says “I love Inns”, then please check out iloveinns.com.

A beautifully designed website, it is a directory of inns located all over America. One can easily search and locate an inn and if you happen to operate an inn or know someone who owns an inn, this is the place.

Oh, as an after thought, I felt this blog post is incomplete without an image of an inn and I give below one which is O’Flaherty’s Dingeldein House, a historic inn located in Lancaster County, in the heart of Pennsylvania’s Amish Country. Isn't it tranquil?

A very useful website for travelers who love inns.

Visited the Prize Blog.

I think I am divinely attracted to

Exclusive online poker for Mac users.

The persistent invitation to chat was neglected by me because I was deeply engrossed in an online card called ‘Solitaire’. I was hooked to this game long before the internet came into being.

At last, I accepted the chat invitation when my game was over. It was my sister-in-law from the U.S. She promptly reprimanded me for my indifference but I was able to pacify her quickly.

The beauty was she wanted to know if I know of a website that offers to play poker because she is now tired of ‘Solitaire’. Incidentally she was my guru for ‘Solitaire’.

I knew she has a Mac and I also knew of a website that is created exclusively for Mac users to play poker. I once did a review for Mac Poker and published it in one of my blogs.

That review provided me an opportunity to learn something about a few poker games such as Pacific Poker and Full tilt Poker. When I read the poker rules in macpokeronline.com, I realized that I had some misgiving and rectified myself. They are very clearly explained in that website.

The entire website is a huge storehouse of valuable information on poker games and even a novice can easily navigate and get the details. I still remember some beautiful images in their website pertaining to Party Poker, 888.com, Europoker.com and Poker School of which I liked the most.

One can play online for time pass and for money too.

Free Blog Review.

Don't let go of this free opportunity to get your blog reviewed.

Visit Fair Review now and explore the blog directory. And whatever blog you like, make a blog post about it in your blog and give a link to the host.

Then submit a listing request and increase your blog readership. Instead of getting just a text link, a review is lot better-right?

I browsed around a bit and read Blog Duck in which a long time blogger Brian Aldrich posts ideas for webmasters, blog news, blogging tips and much more! There are some useful articles on wordpress, blogging tasks and social bookmarking.

I read three blog posts and I like the way they are written-simple and interesting. The way he has analyzed the importance of 'Stumbleupon' with traffic statistics is one proof that this blog must be bookmarked and visited regularly.

I took time to read his post on blog design though it is not my forte. Hmm..., may be this is one area I must seek his assistance.

BTW, he invites guest bloggers also.

Incidentally, I stumbled it.

Poker table with dining top.

Long before I gained some knowledge about poker, I fell in love with poker tables with shiny tops-.aren’t they beautiful?

If by chance you have not seen a poker table, see below.

This is a poker table with dining top which is shipped free of charge by Americangamingsupply.com, the leading supplier of poker tables, poker chips and other casino equipments.

I played poker a few times after my husband taught me the game. There will be a central pot AKA ‘kitty’ where all the players will have to deposit a minimum amount of money.

Of course we all played for fun and not to earn a living out of it.

At that time, I did not know about poker tables. One day I was watching a western film in which I first saw the beautiful and shining poker table. From that day onwards, I desired to have one though not to play poker but for my mathematics coaching center.

Submit to RSS network.

Please do me a favor.
Go to http://www.rss-network.com/submitrss.php and submit your blog's feed url and notice the result.

I kept trying and always got an error message that the 'Title' is missing though there is no provision to fill up the title of my blog. In that website, there is no 'Contact us' link also.

I was recommended to submit my blogs' RSS url in this RSS network. It is supposed to improve search engine ranking and link popularity. I was given a big list of such sites and this was the first site.

I am looking for guidance from you.

Thanks friend.

What is an Oximeter?

A crooked thought occurred to me long back. The age was to question everything and critically view everyone.

One such thought was how a doctor can hear the pulse through a stethoscope if he is a hearing impaired person. Of course I never asked such weird doubts openly. Those questions were immediately swallowed.

For such doctors, a pulse oximeter will come in handy. Pulse oximeter is a medical device that indirectly measures the amount of oxygen in a patient's blood and changes in blood volume in the skin, producing a photoplethysmograph. It is often attached to a medical monitor so staff can see a patient's oxygenation at all times. Most monitors also display the heart rate.

Look at the picture below.

A person has to slip the instrument on his/her finger and the pulse rate is digitally shown in a few seconds. The device will turn on automatically when a finger is inserted and automatically turns itself off when finger is removed. The pulse oximeter has a bright LED digital display that is easy to read and displays pulse-rate, oxygen level, and a pulse-strength indicator graph.

This instrument runs on battery.

This is available at portablenebs.com. At present they are offering free delivery.

Bloghop was a disappoitment.

I expected some traffic from bloghop. At least one visitor in a month is a welcome sign.
But nothing so far.

May be by blog is not up to their standard. But I am glad in one aspect; my blog will get a backlink from a PR5 webpage.

However, that did not deter me to visit bloghop once in a way and browse blogs of my interest. After all, I am in the business of blogging and I must get myself updated about the happenings in the blogosphere.

Today, I browsed the new additions but I did not open a single blog because all of them were way beyond my interest.

Inspired by Titleist’s motto….

I was watching the one day cricket match between India and Scotland with my family when I was interrupted by a long distance call. Though annoyed, I got up to answer it.

I am glad I did that because it was a call from a leading copywriting company. The caller identified herself as the company’s PRO and verified my identity. Then she informed that I had won the first prize for the copywriting competition that I had participated but duly forgotten about it.

The competition was for Titleist golf clubs that are already known to increase your distance and spin, refine your accuracy, and get you out of jams. For the competition, I did some research in the Internet and found that Titleist is a brand name owned by the Acushnet Company, headquartered in Fairhaven, Massachusetts.

Inspired by Titleist's most famous mottos "The #1 ball in golf" and "Serious clubs for serious golfers" I wrote a dozen slogans meant for sports magazines.

I also dug around Billy Andrade a longtime Titleist user who won that first tournament with the new Pro V1 ball. The fact that Titleist golf balls are the top-selling golf balls in the United States also helped me to come out with several options.

I was very happy to have won the copywriting competition and we celebrated with the win by India.

Want to be a blogsitter.

The name blogsitter is suggestive so I won't elaborate much on it.

I think this is the first of a kind and definitely unique. How I really wished for such a service whenever I go on vacation or busy otherwise.

Blogsitter.net is service for bloggers that want to go to holiday or face some no-internet-days and have to leave their blogs alone for some time.

I read that this service may pose some concerns for bloggers who are looking for blogsitters. The blogger may have to entrust the job to a total stranger. Yes, I agree on this and is best left to the blogger to decide.

The website is very simple and no information about the promoters. Still, it is a good marketplace for bloggers and blogsitters.

Vacation at Tuckaway Shores.

This place Tuckaway Shores is known only to people who prefer to spend their vacation in the most luxurious manner. As the name suggests, Tuckaway Shores is located 45 minutes away from Orlando city.

One of my friends owns a property in Tuckaway Shores Resort. He bought it when the concept of Condo Hotels was just picking up. A condo-hotel sometimes known as Condotel is a building used as both a condominium and a hotel.

Since this is both a residence and hotel, experienced vacationers who always travel with their families prefer this. My friend’s place is always booked well in advance because of impeccable room service.

Other amenities:

Heated swimming pool

Wireless internet

Cabana room

Cable television

Fully furnished kitchenettes

Ok, you don’t have to read anymore. Just visit Condohotelmarketplace.com and look up Tuckaway Shores Resort and see for yourself.

One of the best place for blog promotion.

After a week or so, I logged into Bloggerforum and started reading posts on blog promotion ideas. I am never contended with my knowledge in the field of blog promotion.

I happen to read a well written article on blog promotion by username 'Swtrose' in her blog from which I reproduce a part of it.

"Convert some of your existing posts into articles. Submit those articles to article directories like isnare.com, and searchwarp.com. Include a link to your blog in your byline. Bloggertalk.net accepts articles about blogging, Wordpress, SEO,Video Blogging and podcasting. By submitting quality articles to Blogger Talk, you’ll receive a one-way link to your site from a PageRank 5 website."

I chose to visit bloggertalk.net, a friendly fast growing blogging portal, offering bloggers support, advice, tools, tips and information about blogs and blogging.

I must first thank Rose DesRochers for introducing Bloggertalk.net This website is fantastic with great resources. Every blogger must visit it regularly.

Automatic Pinging.

I stumbled onto Autopinger.com yesterday and added my blogs.

What my doubt is, will autopinger function as the name suggests? Will it crawl my blogs and notify the blog search engines automatically without me doing any action?

I found there is a autopinger community in mybloglog.com. I joined promptly and asked the author of the community my question . So far, no reply has come.

Here is an interesting piece that I read just now at aplawrence.com about these pinging sites.
"....many of these sites cheerfully respond to any ping with a positive response even though they have no record of your site in their database at all. Many will just as cheerfully acknowledge a ping referencing a non-existent site. Pinging them may not automatically add your site; you may need to visit them and manually add your information before that ping has any value at that site."

My God, he read my mind!

So, what do you make out of it?

Skid proof mats for your truck.

“Sir, influenced by TV commercials, I have bought a pick up truck. What next?”-this is the question posed by my husband’s former driver. I thought this is a silly question. How can one buy a second hand pick up truck without any purpose?

He sheepishly admitted that, he bought it because he thought it was cheap. My husband reprimanded him severely but somehow reconciled to help him out.

He immediately called a fruits wholesaler and inquired if he could use one more pickup vehicle. Yes, he wanted one and in fact he himself was about to release an ad in the local dailies.

So my husband conveyed this happy news to his former driver. When my husband was shown the van, he was impressed by the overall condition but he saw that it required a new mat. He knew that this van needs to be fitted with a good truck bed liner that is skid proof to carry fruits baskets and boxes.

He showed the diver the model below and he was also happy with it and went about buying it at the earliest.

Other blogs on online money.

Though I frequently blog about blogs that write about internet income opportunities, I could not find time to re-visit them. But I must make it a point to do that at least for courtesy sake. I wish internet provides me some tool that opens on the already visited links periodically.

Here is one blog I am introducing to you about passive income opportunities.
Stephen also makes it a point write about other blogs that are in the same niche.

If you have a website or blog on the same theme, please let me know by making a comment on this blog post. I will write a review about it and also stumble it.

Wedding rings and bands.

Yesterday, my husband removed the wedding band from his hand and gave it to me for polishing. Yes, it certainly lost its sheen.

In our community, a wedding band is given more importance over a wedding ring. During the elaborate marriage ritual in front of the fire, both the bride and the groom tie a band of thread over each other’s wrist as a symbol of bond.

Though we belong to very orthodox family, we do sometimes bend the rules and go with the emerging trends without compromising the rituals.

For example, among the assortment of jewelry gifts and a special diamond necklace from the girl’s side, a wedding band for the groom made of pure gold found its way as a token of respect. Though this metal wedding band did not replace the wedding thread, it has come into vogue as a prestige issue for the bride’s father.

The wedding band below is a product of Jewelry Discount House. They also sell sparkling and colorful gemstone jewelry that includes dazzling emerald bracelets, brilliant sapphire earrings, glittering aquamarine rings and luminous smoky quartz necklaces.

As the name suggests, everything is sold at a discounted rate.

Monetize your blog with Revver.

Though I know one can make some cash with Revver by uploading original video clips but I did not know how we earn by sharing it.

I quote them:
"To increase the value of the entire Revver network, we also reward people for sharing videos. You can earn 20% of ad revenue for sharing videos by other Revver members. The remaining revenue is split 50/50 between the maker and Revver."

I searched several blogs that wrote about Revver and here is one that has explained it clearly.
"Lets say your not up to uploading a video on the web, well people that share/display any Revver videos on their sites earn 20% of the revenue. So no work, just embed a clip you enjoy on your site, and when someone watches it, get your pay."

Yes, I am clear. I can upload the video clips that I liked in Revver in to my blog and earn as explained above, though the money can be very small and may not even worth spending time on it.

What do you day?

Thank you IntelliMind!

Visit the Jungle Store for Animal costumes.

Children of this modern era may have developed a great fancy to Harry Potter but still their fascination for anything that is animal based will never wane. Even paintings in Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamian civilizations reveal that stuffed animals existed in those societies for religious purposes, and undoubtedly for human play as well.

Entertaining children with stuffed toys transcends cultures and beliefs. For school functions and even for home parties, teachers and parents encourage children to wear animal costume to amuse everybody.

The jungle store is an excellent resource for buying animal costumes, animal stationeries, animal greeting cards, animal masks, animal inflatables and animal themed stuffed toys etc.

How to add a Digg button?

Believe me, even after reading this step by step instructions on how to insert a 'Digg' button at the end of every blog post, I am afraid to carry out.

Somehow, I am not able to muster enough courage to hack my template though, I have been trying out modifications that are more easier.

In the instructions that I read, "Your blog should be set to save Post Pages. Post Pages are archived blog posts published to their own web page."

See, I don't know how to check for the above feature in my blog. Can anyone help?

Oh yes, I did it at last. Just after posting, I was determined to try it out and I am happy to have inserted the 'Digg' button at the end of every post.

Thank you Tips for new bloggers!

The watches loved by American Army.

Here is some interesting news to you. Do you know that The Hamilton Watch Company supplied watches to American troops in World War I? To this day, many World War II veterans speak in fond terms of their trusted hamilton watches that provided precise timing and reliable durability for so many heroic missions.

To this day, many World War II veterans speak in fond terms of their trusted Hamilton watches that provided precise timing and reliable durability for so many heroic missions.

I know and can understand their feelings. Of our several possessions, we buy the watch first invariably and the first possession is always sentimental to us.

The watches supplied by Hamilton to the U.S. army are known as Hamilton Khaki watches. (See image)

A picture conveys more than words. I think I need not say much about this watch in words.

eWatches.com is the authorized dealer for all known brands of watches in the world such as Hamilton, Chase-Durer, Citizen, Seiko etc.

The Reeds' Promise.

The period from July 15th to August 14th is very auspicious for us. The entire month wears a festive outlook. Shops announce month long discount sale.

If textile showrooms are crowded to avail discounted sales, the jewelry shops are jam packed and the crowd used to spill over on the street. Jewelers don’t charge making charges for gold and diamond ornaments.

Recently, for this festival,I was gifted with a gorgeous Peridot and Diamond Pendant (image below) bought from Reeds Jewelers, the American’s first choice for jewels. This is a 14 carat gold pendant features an 8mm genuine round peridot surrounded by round brilliant cut diamonds.

This pendant carried the usual ‘Reeds Promise’-““Reeds goal is to make your life Simply Beautiful”. Reeds Jewelers INC was founded in 1946 by Bill and Roberta Zimmer. Today, this full-service multi-channel jewelry retailer has 90 shops in 18 states.

Stumble upon exchange.

To be frank, I don't know if it is legal and ethical.
Stumble upon exchange is a website where we all can register for free, add our blogs and websites and have them stumbled by other StumbleUpon users.

How it works.

You earn "Points" by stumbling other user's sites and you use them by posting your site to be stumbled and having your own site stumbled. You can verify each stumble before you reward Points. You are given 3 Points on sign up, which you can use to post your site to be stumbled. Each stumble they give you cost a point, but once you verify they've stumbled your site and given them a Point back you get a Point. This way the stumbles keep coming as does the traffic!

I joined sincerely but could not find the rare commodity-time to do the work.
Share it with others if you like this concept.

I owe gratitude to another blogger whose name I forgot unfortunately.

If it is green, then Thoof knows me.

Sounding a little poetic-eh?

I hate the word clone. I read in a few places that Thoof is a clone of Digg.
No! They are not. I can point out many reasons but let me write about a few here.

Thoof is a user generated news website, which automatically personalizes the articles shown to users, and where users can collaboratively edit articles. This is more like Wikipedia-right? That means the stories and articles are more reliable.

How can I say,”Thoof knows me?”

I read some news in their website and I got carried away. Suddenly I remembered what I was doing and returned back to the thoof site. I saw some stories in green color which meant that I already seen them but not yet read them. This is s very thoughtful feature.

If the story is not yet read by me, it will be blue in color and if I have read it, then it turns grey.

Very user friendly-right?

A user can decide what he wants to read daily and the next time he visits, he can get his personalized news neatly organized.

Oh, yes, I almost forgot to tell you about the rank badge. I just read a story about Google’s page rank and I found out that it was interesting and said so by clicking on the relevant link just under the headline of the story.

I foresee Thoof will give a run to Digg and Wikipedia in the long run.

Free e-commerce account.

Even I too am still hesitating to launch my online shop to sell exclusively my art work.

I was told that I could draw pictures even when I was just two years old. Somehow, I nurtured my natural gift all through these years. My unique art work is made to appear on corporate gifts, sports uniforms and coffee cups.

Many admirers of me encouraged me to open an online shop and sell my talents. So far, I could not muster up enough courage due to fear of e-commerce. I read several bad experiences about credit card transaction processing and the horrors of fraudulent transactions and charge back. I was also apprehensive about the setup process and the cost involved.

Yesterday, one of online contacts forwarded me the URL of Merchant Express who has been providing credit card processing services since 1998.

Browsing their website, I learnt that I am given all the help that I need to setup my e-commerce account. I can accept credit card payments through authorize.net which I know is the safest payment gateway. With Merchant Express, there is no setup fee and the transaction charges are 1.77%.

Also, the sight of familiar BBB seal on their web site sealed my unnecessary skepticism.

Later in the day, I am going to sign up with them and avail the 30 day free trial. I will post my feedback in due course.

Tamil Bloggers meet.

I am planning to attend the 'Unconference' by Tamil bloggers in Chennai scheduled to be held tomorrow. I spoke to the organizer Mr. Vicky earlier today and confirmed my presence.

As per the news in 'The Hindu' yesterday, a group of Tamil bloggers from the city — ‘Chennai Valaipathivar Pattarai’ — is organising an ‘unconference’ style Tamil bloggers’ camp and workshop at the Tamil Department, Madras University Marina campus on Sunday.

The workshop will be conducted in Tamil by Tamil bloggers, and in true ‘unconference’ style the participants can nominate themselves as speakers. Blogging in Tamil has caught up in recent times. According to thamizmanam.com, a leading aggregator of Tamil blogs, there are more than 2,000 Tamil bloggers active in the blogosphere.

I knew that there are some bloggers but the number 2000 is really surprising.

I noticed some glaring spelling mistakes in http://thamizmanam.com/

Public Safety and Criminal Justice.

Public Safety and Criminal Justice, what a combination!

Among the newly announced degree programs by the Capella University, a new Bachelor of Science in Public Safety is offered with a Criminal Justice specialization.

I think very few online universities offer the above course with the specialization subject. If only I have the time and money, I would join this course just for the sake of knowledge.

For those who have an inclination to study rare courses, criminal justice careers put you on the front line, protecting and serving your community. This specialization provides an overview of public safety research, theory and principles, with a focus on criminal justice processes and procedures.

I was going through the course modules and what I read provoked my interest further. Course work includes such topics as corrections and judicial systems, criminal law and the legal process, police-community relations, white collar and organized crime investigations, and criminal procedure and evidence. People who choose this specialization are often pursuing entry-level officer positions or career advancement within law enforcement age

For those who are interested in continuing their higher education or study different courses online, here are some new programs offered by the Capella:

Capella’s School of Education has launched a new Special Education Leadership specialization as part of its PhD in Education program.

New offerings in Capella’s Harold Abel School of Psychology include Master of Science in Psychology specializations in Leadership Coaching Psychology; Organizational Leader Development; and Evaluation, Research, and Measurement.

Other new undergraduate specializations include two BS in Information Technology specializations, one in Software Architecture and one in Health Informatics, Capella’s first entry into the health care field at the undergraduate level. Capella is also offering a new BS in Business, Project Management specialization.

To learn more about opportunities to pursue higher education online, please call 1-888-CAPELLA (227-3552) option 3, or e-mail info@capella.edu.

Blogitive's improved post approval system.

When I read about their proposed changes in their web site(Blogitive.com), my initial reaction was a bit of apprehension. I thought, they are trying too much very frequently.

But, their changes made me ashamed of my feelings. The immediate effect on their website update is the time taken to approve my blog post. I think, it is near instant. I am very happy that they are on their feet again and a clear forerunner on the growing competition among internet marketing companies.

Their last blog update was a simple but clear tutorial on how to submit the completed work without getting rejected. It is very useful to me as I am technically not well equipped.

Read what Forbes.com says about gold.

Have you visited monex.com lately? If not, do it now and you will see its new look plus very useful data and information for every serious investor in precious metals.

In their website, under ‘Precious Metals Review”, I saw a few experts’ opinion.

Forbes.com:
The dollar remains at historic lows, which could prompt diversification of currency holdings into assets such as gold, and physical demand remains robust.”

Smartstox.com:
“Ms. Aden says that the bull market is firmly in place for some time to come.”

From Jim Steel, writing for HSBC:
“A number of potential factors may soon stabilize the gold market”.

Even though, the gold coin was stopped as a currency in 1933, it is still bought in large quantities from Monex as an investment product.

Through Monex Deposit Company (MDC) you can purchase silver, gold or other precious metals and coins for immediate personal delivery or arrange for convenient and safe storage at an independent bank or depository.

A link exchange resource.

Blogger Forum is a place where we all can exchange links free of cost.

I see increased activity in the forum that has 11189 topics and 48479 posts as I write this. This is a very good trend and an opportunity to increase our blog readership.

There is a thread called Blogscars. This is claimed as the Internet's second most important blog awards. As a member, we are asked to help them decide which blogs and bloggers deserve awards for achievements in the blogosphere. Mainly for fun, but prizes and well deserved recognition will be key features.

There is an exclusive thread for marketing your blog. Then of course, a lot of discussion on the technical aspects of blog and blogging are taking place.

An useful place to hang around.
