Join Zorpia to get visitors.

In a well known high traffic forum, I read that Zorpia is giving good traffic. I thought I will pay a visit to Zorpia-basic courtesy-right?

Yes, it is a social networking web site that doesn't differ much from other such sites. This was founded in 2003 with a goal of bringing people together from all over the world and allowing them to share their ideas and interests.

Like other social networking platforms, here also one can share photo. You can create an online journal and network socially. There is also a forum which is always a good place to interact.

Presently located in Hong Kong but planning to branches in U.S. and U.K.

It is founded by Jeffrey Ng.

Nobody can make you feel inferior.

“Nobody can make you feel inferior without your permission”. I read this when I was just 22 years. See, I remember it even today because the message is extremely powerful and life will be lot easier if you understand and practice it.

But what made me write about this proverb today? I was reading the subscribed feed from drugrehabsunsetmalibu.com and this is what that caught my eye.

“Drug Treatment, is a function of you and your energy”.

“Drug treatment can’t do anything for you if you won’t let it. Drug treatment doctors aren’t magicians, after all; they can’t heal you against your will, or take you anywhere you won’t go by yourself. Drug treatment, in the end, is a function of your will, and your energy.”

I am quite impressed by these honest words. This drug rehab center located at the beautiful Malibu is known for their gentler than flower treatment of patients who seek their rehabilitation program to attain freedom from addictions.

They are one of the top California drug rehab centers supplying the best in addiction recovery, as well as drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Earn from your hub pages.

I know that every post by Mashable.com attracts a number of customers and I spend my time reading those comments which throw more information sometimes than the original post itself.

I looked up for some more revenue sharing blogs. I am surprised that my existing list was pretty short. My present list shows 12 different websites and I intend to add to it more from my search results.

I tracked down Hub Pages and it was no surprise that I landed on Mashable's post. I liked the information and I enjoyed all those comments.

I am happy to note that they have 32k bloggers with them. This can certainly invite plenty of readers for my posts. These are good opportunities to develop a reader base.

"Hubs are just like web pages. Each one contains an article you write that's filled with insight, advice, information - whatever you'd like to say on your favorite topic. HubPages provides you with easy access to the Internet's top income generating tools: Google ads and eBay and Amazon offers. The opportunity to earn more and more royalties over time simply by writing about your favorite topic is the icing on the cake!"-Hub Pages.

I don't know what do they mean by 'royalties' here.

What I can do with Hub pages?
Write an article with links to others.
Upload an image, video clip.

I just registered myself with them.

Have you used 30day tags?

It is good.

30 day tags is where you can register your blog, tag it properly and submit it. Your blog will remain there for 30 days.

On 27th day, you will receive an email from asking you if you want to extend the listing. Just reply to the email by clicking on the link in the email and yhey’ll give you another 30 days.

"30DayTags is a new approach to categorizing and searching for information on the Internet. Anyone with a website (or blog, eBay listing, etc) can list their site with 30DayTags using their own tags and also their own listing information. Social-search & people-powered, our goal is to provide the most relevant information through human feedback."

Purely Fruits.

Browsing through a shopping catalog to select the items that are to be added to my cart, I thought I could skip buying some jams and tarts and order instead a couple of fruit baskets that were attractively heaped with fresh fruits.

A basketful of fruits is the most eye catching item in an online shopping mall. I am basically a fruit lover. Whenever, we go out for a holiday, I don’t resist trying out fruits of that region.

My son and my husband usually discourage me from eating strange looking new fruits. They stick to known fruits only.

As I was about hit the ‘checkout’ button, my son recommended another website that is well known for gourmet gifts. In fact the URL itself is gourmetgiftbaskets.com I took very little time in it and quickly ordered two baskets of fruits called ‘Purely Fruit’.

Since they provide shipping via FedEx, I sent one to my sister.

Lifetime commissions.

LifetimeCommissions.com is a directory of affiliate programs that pay lifetime commissions or residual commissions for life.

In the last week or so, I suddenly started seeing some money in my clickbank account. Naturally, my interest in affiliate marketing is revived and I started looking for new avenues.

This program differs from an usual affiliate program. With most affiliate programs, the affiliate earns a commission on only ONE purchase – the FIRST purchase by the customer. In a lifetime affiliate program, when the customer returns to the merchant's site and makes a second or third purchase, the affiliate earns a commission on ALL those purchases.

LifetimeCommissions.com also lists programs which pay residual commissions, for example where the customer pays a monthly fee, and the affiliate earns a percentage of each monthly fee.
In this directory you'll find these lucrative programs, the tools, and resources to make the most of them.

Replace wood for metal cabinets.

Why not? In fact it is the best suggestion that I heard from my neighbor. When she saw my recently installed metal cabinets in our garage, she asked me why I don’t replace my existing wooden cabinets with metal cabinets in my kitchen.

It made sense to me. After all, I am spending more time in the kitchen than in my garage. I suppose it applies for all the women. At present, my kitchen cabinets are made of cheap plywood that attracts pests and I can say they are real pests literally. I am spending more than three hours every month to tackle this vexing issue.

Metal cabinets that are made of aluminum will not rust, even in the coastal area where air is salty. Moreover, pests have an aversion of metals.

Yes, I will install diamond plate kitchen cabinets which are made of aluminum, when I allocate my next budget for home maintenance.

New Contextual links program.

Please read the subject again. I wrote 'Contextual links' and not contextual ad.

In this program, bloggers can earn by placing links to sponsors in their blog content. You are paid $10 per post.

Dewitts Media is a professional web design company that also offers content writing, Search engine optimization, link building, contextual links, and custom programming.

How its works:

"Blog publishers are based upon a bidding system, so therefore if blog publisher 1 has only done 1 post, but blog publisher 2 has done 2 post it would be blog publisher 1 turn."

No, I don't understand what does that mean. I will write to them for an explanation.

Here is one condition with regards to non disclosure agreement. "All of our publishers are required to view a NDA, and clearly states that no links are to be revealed under any circumstance that they have been purchased!"

I think I came across similar condition elsewhere but don't remember at present. Dewitts Media took only two hours to approve my blog.

What will become of China?

This question is posed by a Chinese in Qoo Forum, an Adsense revenue sharing forum that splits the Adsense revenue 50:50 between its active members.

I have participated in a couple of Adsense revenue sharing forums but this forum I would call it a complete forum because of diverse range of topics. I have never seen a forum with such great range of topics that will interest many.

Forums that are devoted to only specific topic, may not attract large members but this forum, I foresee is going to be the number one actively participated forum in the Internet in two years.

While I am not going to list the entire range of topics here, I will mention only a few as samples.

News & Current Events where discussions of world news and current events are held

It has sub-forums that include US Election, Breaking Headlines, Historical events etc.

Speak your mind in the Politics & Government Forum, and be prepared for some hot topics in sub-forums such as Constitutional Law, Economy & Economics, and Political Humor.

Business, work home, music, search engines are a few topics that is holding lively discussions at present.

Today, I have registered myself in Qoo forum as the 1593rd member.

Free e-book bloggers.

I needed some organized material for my training of new bloggers. Though I have plenty of ideas on blogging, I did not have anything in a book format to give it to my trainees.

I searched for for some free e-books on blogging and I found one at Blogging Phenomena.

The contents on this e-book:
Learn About What Blogging Is
Learn About The Advantages Of Blogging
Learn About What Type of Person Blogs, and Why They Blog
Learn About What People Are Blogging about
Learn About Using Your Blog For Business and Marketing
Learn About Developing Your Readership
Learn About Starting Your Own Blog.

Not much for advanced bloggers but at least I get an idea about how to present my training material. I can add my blog promotion ideas later.

Don’t eat vegetables, but drink them

I am happy to write about My Daily Veggies Free Sample because I think I am one of the most qualified persons to write about the importance of vegetables for healthy living. I am a die hard vegetarian.

Typically, our daily meal consists of at least two vegetables but cooked in different manner. Hey, don’t worry, I am not going to write my recipe here but if you really want to know how I am able to work 17 hours a day, then you can email me. I will disclose the secret of staying with full energy for 17 hours a day.

Ok, enough of my life. Like any teenager, my son is averse to eating green veggies. But he likes those pastas and soups. I hit upon a bright idea for an alternative vegetable supplement.

I ordered first a sample of My Daily Veggies from Drinkyourveggies.com and mixed my son a soup of tomato adding a generous dose of My Daily Veggies. He wanted to know what it contained.

When I showed him the ingredients (please read below), he was pretty impressed.

Ingredients: Dried whole carrot powder, dried whole pumpkin concentrate (seedless), dried green and white whole cabbage powder, dried zucchini powder, dried red bell pepper powder, freeze-dried cucumber powder, standardized freeze-dried whole vegetable and vegetable extract blend (broccoli, broccoli sprout extract, tomato, carrot, spinach, kale, onion extract, sulforaphane, lycopene, beta-carotene, lutein, glucosinolates, onion flavonoids)

Don’t you agree that’s a lot of vegetables? In fact, I think he is taking more veggies than the rest of my family. I ordered three boxes of My Daily Veggies.

Paid lnks for your blogs.

How about earning some extra bucks from your blogs?

For this, you need not write any blog posts for 100 or 200 words.
You need not place any links in your sidebar.

I know of a person who will read your blog posts and ask for a word in your post to be hperlinked.

Here is what he says:
"You send me the URL of your blog.
I'll check the blog and look for a blog post that interests me and offer you a price for a link.
I'll either ask you to turn one of the existing words into a link or ask you to add a new word with a link in it.
You can choose to agree or not. If you agree then add in the link and reply back.I'll send on the money via paypal."

But on one criteria: your blog should have Google PR4 and above.

If you are up to it, please visit this url.

I just visited More Merchant.

For once I have not stumbled on to a blog by chance but I landed on Moremercahnt.com by choice only. Rather it is the choice of Google shall I say?

I am an online coach to a few on blogging and blogging for money. While doing this, I write short articles on various aspects of blogosphere. Today, my topic was Save More Money and Make More Money.

I did a Google for these words and it obediently directed me to Moremerchant.com

Hmm.., Jake, the author of the blog is very active and passionate about blogging.

He has written about a wide range of topics of which I found myself clicking on affiliate marketing, investment, merchant accounts, save money and tools.

On saving money, he has tips for us; saving valuable money on flight tickets caught my attention. If I elaborate on that subject, I think I can complete my article. Then there is a mention about cash back credit cards as an avenue to save some bucks.

Insurance is one area we all tend to forget once we buy it. Jake says that since he rates are dropping, it is time to refinance our insurance.

Let us not forget the proverb, “Money saved is money produced”

Ladder Rack for our community.

We are about 27 families in our street. It is a small village known for terrific views. We have a rather silent lake because not many aquatic birds come by though I have seen people fishing in it.

Whenever a family requires some agri implements to be brought in, or anything that requires carting, we had to engage an outside service provider from a nearby city.

As a community, we had entered into a deal. To save time and money, we decided to fit one of our station wagons with a ladder rack. The cost of the ladder rack was shared by us. The family that requires ladder rack fitted vehicle can make use of it by paying a nominal charge that is kept aside for maintenance of the vehicle.

Since this idea was suggested by me, I was not charged anything when I used it for the first time. Nice gesture-isn’t it?

Are poker tables made of…

I was traveling in a bus when I was taught the poker game. Before the bus reached the destination, I had won some money and many admirers. But I did not attribute the profit to my intelligence but to my luck only.

Later, I recognized the game while watching a Hindi movie. Six people were sitting around a magnificent table in comfortable chairs playing with multicolored plastic chips lying in heaps on the table. I could not take my eyes off the poker table.

At that time, I wondered if all the poker tables were made mahogany finish and leather gaming surface. Today, I visited Sevengametables.com as I had an assignment on poker tables.

They design and manufacture the finest heirloom-quality gaming tables available in the USA today. They manufacture poker tables made of solid hardwood with distressed mahogany finish and leather gaming surface.

Look at the poker table and those leather chairs! Aren’t they fabulous?

SEVEN Game Tables is a division of Thos. Baker LLC, an online merchant of premium teak outdoor furniture. Thos. Baker is based on Bainbridge Island, Washington.

BTW, what is Distressed Mahogany?

Want multi-dimensional sales prospects?

The onus will be always on the marketing team in any concern. They won’t be spared even for genuine reasons and circumstances beyond their control.

They might have pulled every ace up their sleeves but sometimes, the results won’t be forthcoming. I am 100% sure they might not have explored e-mail marketing.

Internet is full of negative opinions on e-mail marketing due to spamming. I don’t blame anybody because a few bad players have definitely spoiled the direct marketing industry.

The main reason I could attribute to this is the usage of non-responsive and out dated list of prospects. There are only a few in this trade that sell clean lists and the top rated among them is Martin Worldwide.

Their ResponseCom comprises of hot and very responsive list of consumers segregated under several categories and available state wise. Martin Worldwide says that decades of tracking, compiling, and optimizing data that was merged into one vast database.

Their database acquisition expertise has earned then many Fortune 1000 clients. This list broker provides a variety of cost-effective services to ensure success in its clients’ direct marketing efforts. Their guarantee speaks volumes of their confidence on their product.

Directory submission automized.

I am a failure; I don't keep up my daily tasks.

It is my intention to spend daily 15 minutes for submitting my blogs to directories. But I spend 15 minutes once in a month. Shame on me!

When I started blogging in 2005, I did a regular directory submission and maintained a record of my work too. But now, it is obvious that I don't give priority for that.

Today, I came to know about this directory submission software.
It has 700 directories in its database. I tried a demo version and it was cool. The demo version comes only with a handful of directories.

The operation is pretty easy and smooth. But so far, I did not receive any confirmations from the directories to which the software submitted.

$3000 per month through adsense?

It is quite an attractive figure for most of us-right? But is it really possible? Our immediate reaction will sure be negative based on our present earnings.

I am not even averaging $1 per day from my seven blogs. How about you?

Blogging Secret has proposed something for us. He wants us to create 100 blogs!

Here is his calculation:
Google Adsense - $1 x 100 blogs x 30 days = $3000 per month.

Sounds optimistic but....

When I am working more than 12 hours a day to maintain seven blogs, how can I maintain 100 blogs? Where do I go for content for 100 blogs of different niches?

The history of Disney's Blizzard Beach.

Historical facts about anything modern and contemporary are very interesting to me. It gives a sense of connection with the past.

Before I travel to a place, I will read all its history. If my planned vacation doesn’t materialize, I could share my knowledge with you through my blogs. I could tell my students in between the mathematics class to break the monotony.

Blizzard Beach at Disney Land was once a ski resort. As the Disney story goes, an uncharacteristic winter storm happened to go through Central Florida, leaving mountains of snow and ice, which led to the development of Florida’s first and only ski resort.

However, as the normal Florida heat returned, the mountains of snow quickly melted, and the ski slopes gave way to today’s amazing water slides at the park we now know as Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park.

I owe my gratitude for this wonderful information to orlandofuntickets.com from where one can buy discounted prepaid Disney Tickets for all of the theme parks at Orlando or for a few specific shows.

When at Orlando, enjoy the thrill of falling flat on your back from 120 feet at 55 mph at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park

Don't buy links anymore.

The Internet's most hot topic of discussion today is John Chow and his blog that has fallen out of Google's ranking.

I don't know the what it means by this is what I could understand:
When you search for JohnChow or John Chow, his Google adword is not appearing at the right side of Google's search results.

Here is a blog post in Blogstorm that mentions about Google Webmaster Guidelines:
“Buying links in order to improve a sites ranking is in violation of Google's webmaster guidelines and can negatively impact a site's ranking in search results.”

Matt Cutt's has more on paid links but you get the general idea - Google doesn't like people buying and selling links. The paid links on the right hand side are totally unrelated to his content so stand out like a sore thumb.

My immediate concern was about the sponsors who are buying paid to blog posts.

“Yet another “pay-for-blogging” (PFB) business launched, this time by Text Link Brokers. It should be clear from Google’s stance on paid text links, but if you are blogging and being paid by services like Pay Per Post, ReviewMe, or SponsoredReviews, links in those paid-for posts should be made in a way that doesn’t affect search engines. The rel=”nofollow” attribute is one way, but there are numerous other ways to do paid links that won’t affect search engines, e.g. doing an internal redirect through a url that is forbidden from crawling by robots.txt.”

Now look at what Mashable says:

Most readers would disregard a sponsor post entirely, and could put the blogger and their reputation in jeopardy as a result.

I wrote to Vin of betabloggerfordummies and asked his opinion on two questions:

1. Is it still advisable to remove 'No Follow' tag?

2. Is it ok to join certain bloggers network like 'Blogging chicks network' and 'I follow' network.

His reply is given below:

“That article does not say anything about 'No follow' tag.
It is your blog and you can do anything you like in it except copyright and other violations.
As far as I know Google has nothing against no-follow. If you find anything let me know. You can join any network you like."

So, what do you make all of it bloggers?

Thank you Vin, Mashable, Matt Cutt and Blogstorm.

I earned the paypal badge.

So far, I have forwarded back to paypal more than 300 phishing emails.
having studied their periodic guidelines published in their emails that are in reply to my forwarded emails, I am very thorough in protecting my paypal account.

I just took a test at their website and scored 100%.

If you are new to phishing, it's those emails you get that look like they're from a real company, but are actually fake. Well there's a new Fight Phishing Challenge that can show you how good you are at spotting the fakes. I just took it. You should try it - I earned a badge by scoring a perfect 5 out of 5.

Open a new browser and type www.paypal.com/fightphishing. It is ok to click on this link. You will answer those 5 questions without logging in.

Let me know your score when you're finished.

Simple straightforward credit card comparison.

When I want to apply for a new credit card, I will first look at the offers from banks who claim to issue Low APR Credit Cards with bonuses and perks.

I would look for a credit card that offers the following:
*Maximum rewards points per dollar spent.
*Lowest balance transfer rate with more holiday period, preferably
0% APR on balance transfers for 12 months.
*More ways to earn cash than anyone else.
*Unlimited cash rewards that never expire as long as you use your card.
*5% Cashback bonus in popular categories like travel, apparel, home, gas, restaurants, movies and more.
*5-20% Cashback bonus at top retailers through our exclusive online shopping site.
*Bonus for paying on time.
*No annual fee and FREE rewards program.
*Price Protection Program.
*$0 Liability on unauthorized purchases.

Quite interesting-isn’t it?

I was able to compile the above information by comparing all the offers from credit card issuers such as J.P. Morgan Chase, Bank of America, Citibank and leading brands Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Card at CreditCardSearchEngine.com, the Internet’s longest running sites for online credit card comparison.

Cheap broadband.

The competition among broadband ISPs was over and the rate per month is dirt cheap now. (BTW, what is dirt cheap)

Four years before I paid over 600USD to a broadband ISP as installation cost alone. At that time, there was no competition at all and he was the monopoly ISP in India. And the service was deplorable. None of their technical staff were qualified to handle problems. Their customer service was rude to the core.

After trying a few over the years, I settled for Government provided broadband connection that is very stable and yes, it is dirt cheap. Now I know why it is called dirt cheap.

The speed is 256kbps but it seems much more than that. The connection seldom fails. Even if it fails, they rectify it within a few hours.

Thank you BSNL!

A fragrant post for a change.

Oh, let me forget about pro blogging and blog promotion ideas for the time being.

Once, just for once, I would like to write about something totally different. Well, this may be a clue to my other side!(Smile)

For the past week or so, we are seeing rain in the evening and the rain drops are really cool. We have three varieties of jasmine in the front, just abutting the portico. One of then is a double decker jasmine. ( This is the best way I can explain). Or, should I say, two layered flower?

It has a heady smell and blossoms in the evening and fall off by midnight. But due to evening rain, the flowers don't blossom fully and fall off as buds but still the fragrance is hmmm... just heavenly.

Are you able to smell the fragrance?

Trivia: Do you that jasmine is national flower of Pakistan?

An advice to my sister.

“Don’t rush for a broadband connection. Shop around leisurely and then decide on your Broadband Provider”- I told my sister who just moved in to U.K.

She was lucky to have found an apartment nearby a metro station. She is already settled in fully having purchased everything a new home requires. She did not take any of her belongings from India to London. She wanted to start afresh.

Her husband got a job in a leading bank but my sister is well versed with pro blogging. I trained her to the best of my abilities.

She even bought a new laptop for which she is yet to get it connected with the right Broadband Internet. I know there are several options for you in U.K. All leading brands such as AOL, Toucan and Orange are in the fray and one can compare them online with broadbandsuppliers.co.uk

If her husband also needs a cheap broadband internet connection, then it is advisable to select your ISP that is compatible with a router.

My sister is very sharp. I have shown the right website to her and she knows what to do.

Her knowledge on cosmetic dentistry secured her seat.

Q: “Why do you want to become a dentist?”

A: “To make people smile with confidence”.

Though my niece did not mean it to be humorous, the interviewers took it so and expressed their displeasure. But seeing the grim and serious expression on her face, they concluded that she was really serious.

The interviewers are highly placed dentists and they were interviewing my niece to consider her application for B.D.S degree course.

Next question:

“Do you know anything about ‘porcelain veneers’?

“Yes I know! Porcelain veneers can provide a completely improved and dazzling smile in just a few appointments.”

On their query about where did she learn about porcelain veneers, she replied that before coming to the interview, she prepared herself through Internet and she credited Dr. Tom Farley, the charlotte cosmetic dentist for her knowledge on cosmetic dentistry. Since she wanted to specialize on that subject, she searched for related websites in the internet and liked drtomfarley.com.

Dr. Tom Farley is a Member of the American Academy of Osseointegration, American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, and the Charlotte Dental Society.

My niece’s answer on a question about teeth whitening convinced the interviewers about her desire to become a dentist and admitted her on the spot.

Blogchex can be an avenue.

I registered a blog with Blogchex yesterday.

No, it is not an AdSense revenue sharing blog but they share their revenue with us through sponsored ads that appear along side our blog posts.

"You write, we will find sponsors"-they say.

Yes, I know what is on your mind- "Is it that simple?". It is so for them as they seem to have a tie up with a few sponsors. Immediately after my first post, I saw a few ads on my blog. I browsed through others' blogs and saw the same ads.

So, I think, they get paid per impressions and share it with us. This cannot be a big income.
But still it is all free and why not try it out for a few weeks?

The difference between closed and open captioning.

Watching the ‘Making of a movie’ yesterday night, I picked a few technical words in film making and also saw how animation technology was used to depict a dark man as a westerner.

That movie is the world famous multi crore production ‘Sivaji’ in Tamil. The director was telling about his plans to engage Vicaps.com (Video Caption Corporation) to make closed captioning for the benefit of international viewers of other languages.

Closed captioning also called subtitles for the hearing impaired allows people who are deaf or hard of hearing, learning a new language, beginning to read, in a noisy environment, or otherwise disadvantaged to read a transcript or dialog of the audio portion of a video, film, or other presentation. As the video plays, text captions are displayed that transcribe speech and often other relevant sounds.

The term "closed" in closed captioning means that not all viewers see the captions—only those who decode or activate them. This distinguishes from "open captions," where all viewers see the captions, calling permanently visible captions in a film.

Video Caption Corporation provides high quality English and Spanish offline closed captioning, and multi-language subtitling for video or DVDs for organizations that include broadcasters, corporations, independent producers, schools, libraries, churches and government agencies.

Revenue from Linkadage.

Even a baby blogger must be knowing Text Link ads and how to earn money by placing links to sponsor web sites through Text Link Ads as a market place.

Though this blog is long since approved by text link ads, so far, I did not benefit from it.

Linkadage is a similar service that enables us to generate revenue from our blogs and websites by way of bidding, brokering, and exchanging text advertisements. (gratitude to Mashable.com)

Linkadage is useful to us (bloggers) in several ways. I am of the opinion that this is by far the best market place for bloggers, webmasters and advertisers.

40 million waterborne illnesses annually.

The drive was long and arduous. But we had to reach our destination in 6 hours. But we knew it was not going to be possible because of the heat. The heat was too much that the car a/c was at its lowest efficiency.

By the time we traveled half of the distance, our water bottles became empty. But we don’t buy bottled water anymore because we carry our water filters with us wherever we go.

We never take any chance with water as it gets contaminated very quickly. Do you know that there are 40 million waterborne illnesses annually? And can we be absolutely sure about the safety of the bottled mineral (?) water? Certainly not.

Never buy water outside. Instead carry your own Portable Water Filters wherever you go. Yes, we carry two filters if in case another family on the road needs it. We were once helped that way and we are always grateful for that stranger. You can use these filters when you are moving by car or train.

Our stay at Florida Pines.

Florida Pines was shall I say ‘ideal’ place to stay? No, it was in fact my dream place that I was fortunate enough to find.

Apart from its perfect location from where all the theme parks are less than half an hour ride, I was terribly impressed with the space of the vacation home. We were eight people from our college that rented that particular house in Florida Pines.

Moremouse.com was our choice of finding a Florida rental vacation and Florida Pines a quiet pine fringed community is situated only a few minutes away from supermarkets, restaurants and shops.

The owner of our rental home has tastefully furnished it with cozy furniture. The bathroom and the kitchen were impeccably maintained. Since we are all pure vegetarians, we have not opted to stay in a hotel. But here, we had a great combined cooking sessions and had a real laugh riot over some of the new recipes we tried.

This could have never been possible in a hotel. Since we all stayed in one place, we had more time for us which again is not possible had we stayed in a hotel. Look at that swimming pool in our home; we had fantastic time there.

Moremouse.com is our college staff favorite vacation home rental choice for more than six years.

What are tumblelogs?

I am not a lazy blogger but sometimes I too would like behave like one; that is blog with a just a few lines or just an image that will self expressive.

But pro blogging requires that I follow certain norms and that is a blog post with a minimum of 100 words is must, not to speak about 200 worded posts.

Tumblr is great if you don’t have time to blog, but still want to share something now and again. It lets you easily post videos, pictures, links, and of course you can write there too. They have expressed it nicely: "To make a simple analogy: If blogs are journals, tumblelogs are scrapbooks."

You can also look at tumblelogs as slightly more structured blogs that make it easier, faster, and more fun to post and share stuff you find or create.

A tumblelog is a variation of a blog that favors short-form, mixed-media posts over the longer editorial posts frequently associated with blogging. Common post formats found on tumblelogs include links, photos, quotes, dialogues, and video. Unlike blogs, this format is frequently used to share the author's creations, discoveries, or experiences without providing a commentary.

I just registered but yet to do the basic work.

The suggestion from a car interior decorator.

The other day when my son brought home his first girl friend, we had a cultural shock. Compromising on our orthodox leanings, we received her in our drawing room. She told that she studied with my son in the local school and parted ways due to different academic options.

She is now working for a car dealer as an interior decorator. Yes, cars too need interior decoration and she specializes in blinds and sun control films. I have never seen cars fitted with blinds. All I know that blinds are used inside a building to filter heat and dust.

Well, cars too require heat filtering-isn’t it?

I thought I could use some free interior decoration consultation and enquired her about what she could suggest for our drawing room.

Since she is a specialist in blinds, she suggested that we can install beautiful looking Faux Wood blinds. Since our climate is tropical, faux wood blinds are ideal as they withstand high humidity. Blinds Chalet offers 2 inch faux wood blinds that will not chip, warp, or crack and will retain their shape for a lifetime.

Faux wood blinds are fashioned by either vinyl or a combination of hardwood and vinyl. These beautiful blinds have the appearance of real wood and are perfect for use in areas of high humidity.

Her suggestion was well received by us and asked her what color will blend with our walls. She told her to ask for free samples from blindschalet.com

Using their online quotes, we also got an idea of the cost. Overall, a great web site for a range of blinds and shades.

Have you heard about Blog Mastermind?

Just after day when I learnt that Blogging to the Bank is not very useful as it promises and not worth buying, I stumbled upon Blog mastermind.

Another tutorial that claims that you can make $1000 to $5000 (?) per month by blogging. As usual, it is not very clear about what exactly it offers though all the usual bonuses are offered free of cost if we buy that program for $77 per month.

The author of the program is Yaro Starak and he says that he has discovered this astonishing secret making money to the tune of thousands of dollars. He claims that he is earning consistently $4000 to $6000 per month and for that he works only 2 hours a day.

I foresee a long queue soon in front of his residence.

Don’t compromise convenience over appearance.

Many people do just that-they give more importance for appearance than for convenience and comfort while selecting the furniture for their house. People buy furniture for their home mainly from consumer exhibitions where manufacturers are sure to dump rejected or defective furniture that we can’t detect.

But corporate people are wiser. They view furniture also as an investment and select the correct furniture for their office. Think it over; in how many offices have you seen furniture that is not comfortable?

Our furniture should not only be cozy and comfortable but should last long, really long. Our so called grandfather furniture is still bought at a price that is much more than new, modern furniture.

Please take a look at the sofa below. This furniture looks absolutely sturdy and at the same time, tempting you to curl yourself in. Lenoir empire furniture’s selection of Century furniture is hand-distressed and hand-finished. They are elegant as well as comfortable.

Lenoir empire furniture is the authorized dealer for Century furniture among other such as American Drew and Bassett Furniture.

The adsense myth.

Though it is reported that some make upto 1000$ per day through adsense, the majority of adsense earners report only a few cents a day.

Why? What is the reason? Any concrete tips to increase adsense revenue?

Of the three question, I have read hundreds of tips in as many places as the answer to the last question. And I never found anything new in all those answers.

Two major changes were recommended in all these answers; change the format and change the layout. But nothing worked for me and so too for all the majority.

To me, irrelevant ads by Google is the main reason. Even in Mashable which attracts thousands of readers, I saw irrelevant ads by Google. Moreover, whatever ads that appeared in Mashable.com, they are worth only a few cents per click(<10 cents).

I invite suggestions, recommendations and experience from this blog readers. Let me compile them and test them.

Want a home inspection?

I am writing this post taking a break from watching the seminal between Federer and Gasquet.

Local news is full of reports about the declining real estate prices but I am not unduly worried about my property which appreciated in value to almost double.

Though a few relatives advised me to sell it and make a profit, I did not relent. I am like a vulture and do you know that vulture is a patient bird?

But then, I can sell anytime I need to at the best possible price because I have a dependable real estate company in gmac real estate that are world famous and committed to delivering a Premier Service. I am extremely satisfied with their unmatched customer service.

They are a global company with offices in Canada, Puerto Rico and Portugal. With them, buying and selling of real estate properties is less stressful and cost effective.

Not only they offer buying and selling services but they also take care of related services that include employee relocation, military relocation, vacation homes, retirement homes, new construction homes, mortgage, title, home warranty, home inspection, moving and storage services, boxes and supplies, temporary housing assistance, home improvement retail chains and much more.

Mybloglog's most active bloggers.

Two of my friends are very active in Mybloglog.com and I sincerely admire their enthusiastic participation there.

My first friend is Aayush Bhatnagar and my second friend is Dharmendra Pundeer.
Click on the links that will take you directly to their profile. Both are technically sound. While I visit Bhatnagar's Cell Tech Hub to glimpse those mobile phones he blogs about, I show Pundeer blogs to my son who is studying in final year B.E. computer Science.

Both are brisk youths and blogging with great passion. They keep in touch with their community members regularly which is an admirable quality. I wish I have more time to devote to them and other community members.

Oh, yes, I should mention Profit Sense blogger too whose blog's feeds I have subscribed to. His articles are very useful to me.

I visit these blogs also frequently.

My idea of Luxury Home.

A hotel is awarded a five star category if it offers certain luxuries to the guests and if it is built as per certain norms conforming to very high standard that includes fully carpeted area, swimming pool, 24 hour coffee shop etc.

When real estate developers advertise luxury homes, do they really offer all the modern luxuries? I don’t think so.

My idea of a luxury home may even shock the owner of a seven star hotel.

It should have:

Remote controlled gate

Heated Swimming pool

Automatic doors

Centralized coolers and heaters

Eco friendly garbage removal

A kitchen that looks exactly as in the image below.

I will add more to the above as and when I get fancy ideas. (Smile)

For your information, the kitchen shown above is part of the house below that is being sold at Charlestown, Rhode Island by Eleganthomes.com

Ideally, I should have a house like this with sprawling lawns with white fence.

If you want a bigger house with more luxuries, please click on the link above.

Get immediate visitors to your blog.

I admire the efforts of Etienne to get his blog read. His recent announcement of $100 cash contest itself is a master move for attracting traffic, increasing page rank for his 'Make money online' blog for which I am a subscriber.

Why do I say that his is a master move?
Everyone that wants to enter the contest has to make a review on his blog and leave a comment for having done so. All those who are also entering this contest will notice the comments of fellow contestants and will read their comment as well as their review. This is a win-win situation. Isn’t it a brilliant idea?

Another rule of the contest is the Technorati favorite. This will increase the Technorati authority of Etienne.

Then, contestants are asked to subscribe to his RSS feeds. This is also a good move that will show the number of readers by Feedburner on his blog home page.

I read one of his blog posts on 14 factors that will affect the ranking on major search engines. I would like to point out his point #8 in which he writes, “This is by far the best way to get your site on the top when you get linked to a high pagerank site.” I beg to differ on this point. Your blog or website should have incoming links from as many as possible and their PR doesn’t really affect your PR.

A reader to his blog will find most of the posts to be highly useful. Even before the announcement of this $100 contest, I have recognized his blog’s value and have subscribed.

I can’t carry anymore!

He strapped and strapped his huge suitcase with white tapes to ensure that it won’t open during transit.

That is my husband’s brother-in-law living in Virginia. He frequents India on personal and official visits. And he carries loads and loads of goods. His excuse for that is, he has to oblige many friends.

His huge suitcase has seen many countries and crying for replacement. But he refuses to buy a new one. It seems he has fallen in love with it and it is quite possible that he is sentimental about it.

My husband is never tired of criticizing him for his choice of luggage but it had fallen in deaf ears. But this time, I too have an idea to make him change his mind. I am going to show this piece below which I am sure will impress him.

This is a wheeled duffle bag that is on sale at Luggageresource.com and is a product of American Tourister which is in this trade for 90 years. Yes, I too remember to have seen their logo many times. They are known for their superior luggage products and services

Create multiple profiles for yourself.

All the other social networking web sites allow you to create only one profile but in iStarLive you can multiple profiles different from each one. For bloggers who maintain different niche blogs, this is an advantage. People in the same niche can quickly find you and interact.

Though I have been writing about many social networking sites, somehow I don't find time to join one and be active there. Yes, I did join a few but mostly Indian based. I quickly got fed up with spam messages. And more over, majority of the topic will be centered on Hindi movies of which I have least interest.

In iStarLive, we can post classifieds which are said to be very responsive among the members. Video chat facility is an added attraction in iStarLive. And not to forget the Web Conferencing service exclusively created for business people.

Hmm... it seems this is a very professional social networking to me.

No, helmet alone is not sufficient.

It was costlier than I expected-my helmet cost nearly $25. It came fitted with a visor, a tinted one.

I insisted on a tinted visor of the hot sun that I had to face when going towards my coaching academy. “Your eyes are fluffy and look turbid” was my co-sister’s remark just now. She is a doctor and more than a relative to me. Because of our near equal age, we move like friends.

I showed her my helmet with visor and she said it is not sufficient to protect my eyes. She advised me to wear sun glasses that are specifically made for bike riders. It made sense to me and I requested her to suggest the best brand.

She informed me that I should go for Wiley X motorcycle sunglasses that have a removable foam eye cup to protect eyes from wind, dust and water. This is something new to me. I also found out that Wiley X glasses are available even in photo chromic versions.

Blogs gone wild!

I was asked to visit Blogs Gone Wild by a top blogger whom I respect.

We are close friends and our topic will be always about new blog designs and lay outs. And the beauty is both are techno novices; we can only appreciate but can't design one for us.

Blogs Gone Wild's portfolio is something you should have a look at. Everything you wished to have can be found there. Unfortunately, they don't take any more orders now because of pending work.

They offer some free blog skins now at their blog.

Where can you buy multi light pens?

My brother’s daughter Rekha, studying in 1st standard, stormed into my work station as usual and demanded some time in my PC. There is no way I can refuse because I love her so much.

She started her painting with paint shop and filled the screen with a riot of colors which reminded me of childhood age when there were no computers and I used color chalk pieces to express my artistic leanings.

Suddenly Rekha’s attention changed to a different kind of pen lying on my computer table. With a child’s curiosity, she picked it up and started examining it. It was a multi light pen that can flash several colors.

Which can kid can resist such pens? She immediately demanded that I give her my pen. I gave in but she wanted more; she has several friends to whom she would like gift it.

So I opened pensurus.com and let her choose her own colors. She was in sheer joy looking at the fantastic range of Colorful Pens at the web site. She could not taker eyes off the screen. (me too)

This a big store house for corporate gifts too.

Have you used the Light Box?

Probably not. But we all have seen it working.

Lightbox JS is a simple, unobtrusive script used to overlay images on the current page.

"A fade effect that you see on a myriad of blogs you visit these days where you click the image, the background fades and then the image itself displays in full view." -Mashable

I have seen this many times but I could not remember to show you a demo. But Light Box itself, in their website has given an example of how it works. Click the link above and you will know.

Ok, so what?

Places images above your current page, not within. This frees you from the constraints of the layout, particularly column widths.

Keeps users on the same page. Clicking to view an image and then having to click the back button to return to your site is bad for continuity.

Thank you Light Box!

May be, just may be…

I accept shamelessly that I don’t like to cook but I know cooking. That is the irony.

Any amount of accolades on my culinary skills will not make me budge; no, I will not enter the dungeon (kitchen).

But I melt when my neighbor’s kid asks me to make her some pasta. That is one dish I can cook to the envy of Italians. Even with the outdated cookware, I can prepare as many as seven different varieties of pasta. I have a special and secret ingredient for my favorite dish and that’s why kids love them.

I am a very fast cook in spite of untidy nature. The kitchen will be a mess when I leave it after cooking. My husband keeps reminding me that I should throw away some of our old cookware and buy some thing latest from the dependable Berndes-Cookware, A German product.

But will our cook take care of them properly? May be, just may be…

Pasta Insert made of stainless steel-Berndes Cookware

Christie's Gandhian attitude.

Thank you Christie for sending our Father back to India.

We put great value on everything about Gandhi. Your intended auction of the letter written by Gandhi and your subsequent withdrawal of it is deeply appreciated by all Indians.

Where have you been all this time Govt of India? Had you been to London only to look at the queen? Remembering the Father of our nation on his birth and death anniversaries is purely political that will not show your true reverence for Gandhi.

Thank you Christie! You have behaved like Gandhi.

Lighted garden and jasmine.

Why not? Why chandeliers always have to decorate your living room? Why not the garden?

It seems people in my street have no royal taste. When the word got around that I am planning to light my garden with a new chandelier, I received lot of unsolicited advice aimed at discouraging me.

Oh, I think these people are jealous. In our garden, we have three jasmine plants that are full of divine smelling flowers that blossom at night. A chandelier will certainly add to their beauty.

But, I have this weakness of not able to select a product. Every thing that I saw at lightingdirect.com was appealing to me. When I was about to decide on a particular piece, my husband will show me another, putting me in a dilemma.

Finally, I settled on the one below though it did stretch my budget a little.

List of blog directories by sponsored reviews.

It is my opinion only. I liked the idea of a bloggers and advertisers market place where a match of is made between the two. I like it more when the host of such a market place is trying to help the bloggers win more bids by increasing their link popularity and tp achieve this they have provided a list of blog directories for bloggers to submit their blogs.

The host is Sponsored Reviews and their list is provided with the directories' Google PR and Alexa rank. This is a considerate move by Sponsored Reviews. I appreciate their intention.

Longtime back, I too published a list of blog directories and search engines which has been downloaded many times.

Then I also introduced some new blog directories and wrote a short review about them.

Relaxing Piney Green house.

Please take one more look at the picture and tell me what your first feeling is.

For me, “cool’ is what I really felt when my sister sent that photo through email last week. She presently lives in Virginia.

But she is shortly moving to Eastern North Carolina because her husband’s new employment in Onslow County. The picture depicts a house located in Piney Green in Onslow County.

Though it is not her house, she is captivated by the location and may build a house in such a location and she wanted my opinion about it. “Yes, go ahead’ was my instant response. I could not take my eyes off that place. I set it as the desktop background in my PC.

Her husband’s colleague has asked him to approach beaufort nc real estate for his requirements. Most probably they may already have one for sale in Piney Green but even if it is not available, they can build one as per his design.

I know my brother-in-law. He normally does a complete enquiry even before purchasing a washing machine. So he was very much satisfied with the credentials of Mercer Realty Incorporated that has been in the business for nearly three decades.

Is your blog in space?

There is a search engine named JDGO.
The reason for the name is unknown to me but not that I am really bothered. My only intention is to use it like any other search engine.

Just out of academic interest, I keyed in 'Blog Avenues' and hit search. Hmmm..., the results came quickly and there it was, my blog was at the top of the search results. Hi hi, there were only 12 results.

I clicked on one of the links in the search results that seemed familiar titled 'My space in space'

Then only I remembered the free service by Pay Per Post (PPP). You can submit your blog's feed to be let in to space- I think it refers to the world of search engines. I submitted this blog's feed sometime back and forgot about it.

Thank God, I will submit all my other blogs' feeds today.

Mental suicide.

The act of suicide not necessarily means taking one’s life. Though some may decide to commit suicide at the spur of the moment, many would have killed themselves at their mind before the physical act.

Driven by self pity, people first get addicted to intoxication by using every other known means; they then slowly sink in to destructive though patterns which is more harmful than the intake of alcohol.

Such people don’t respond to any kind of addiction treatment because their mind is too deeply programmed by negative thoughts that they reuse to cooperate with treatments of psychotherapy.

Cliffside Malibu a residential rehabilitation center use cognitive behavioral therapy on these patients. In this process, therapists first identify the affected persons’ thoughts that emanate from their mind and teach them to unlearn this habit. Individuals then learn to replace negative automatic thoughts with more positive and life affirming thoughts.

Relaxation and distraction techniques are commonly used in cognitive behavioral therapy. CBT is widely accepted as cost-effective psychotherapy for many disorders.

The bag full of 5$.

Every 5 dollar bill adds up and I counted it to be over 300. But I had to be satisfied with counting only.

Money is a mirage as of now but will certainly turn true. The 'Time' is standing between mirage and reality.

Now I started adding more 5$ bills today with the first assignment from a new company having been completed already. With eight sources active and two almost dead, I am busy everyday blogging for passion and the money tags along.

I cannot report much success other forms of earning such text ads, feed ads and banner ads.
The PPC income is known to come in trickles but, yes, it literally trickles. It is ok, as long as something is coming in, I am happy.

I have completely retired from HYIP. All my e-currencies show nil balance.

The Greek connection.

We, our language, several religious beliefs and customs, philosophy, astronomy, and science have some connection or the other with Greece.

I can cite several Greek connections as far as our religious beliefs are concerned but some may not agree. But in our local language and in the English, there are thousands of words that are said to be originated from the Greek language. There cannot be any dispute over this.

For example, we are all familiar with proteins that are vital for living organisms, as they are the main components of the physiological pathways of cells.

But we may not be familiar with the word ‘Peptide’ which means in Greek ‘digestible’.

What are peptides?
Peptides are the family of short molecules formed from the linking, in a defined order, of various α-amino acids-which is the basic chemical in protein. An amide bond links a chain of amino acids and this bond is sometimes referred to as a peptide bond.

But why I am raising this topic?
I was asked to check my blood sugar because of certain symptoms. Our family doctor is very talkative like me. He is very happy to show off his medical knowledge to an eager listener and he presumed I am one. (He doesn’t know I switch off my hearing aid at times)

He explained that insulin is also a small protein (this is news to me) and can be considered peptides.

He added:
Do you know that peptides are synthesized by bio-synthetic firms mostly for research purposes and peptides allow the creation of antibodies in rabbit and mouse?

Bio-Synthesis, Inc (biosyn.com) is the world leader in this field and Universities, Research Labs and biotech organizations seek out them for their range of bio tech products.
