Free traffic to your blog.

Can you afford to say 'NO' for an offer of free traffic to tour blog?

I suppose not.

Link2Blogs is a free text link exchange that provides blogs the ability to cross-promote each other. Member blogs display a box containing text links in order to earn credits.

How it works?
Very simple. Sign up, place a simple html code into your blog and that'll display Link2blogs box in your blog. Every reader that clicks on blogs listed in your Link2blogs box will earn you credits.

The credits you earn become new visitors for your blog. Your ad will be shown in other blogs of Link2blogs network, in the categories you chose, providing you very targeted blog readers.

You can earn extra credits thru referrals. For every blogger that signs up with Link2blogs (and gets validated) earns you 10% of the credits your downline earns (up to 5 levels deep). And you can always buy extra credits in order to increase the volume of readers to your blog.

If you’re a blogger, this website is for you.

Since I started blogging 14 months ago, I have so far created more than 500 blog posts.

Though I have been extremely cautious about not hurting anyone’s sentiment and beliefs, I actually wanted to know my limitations and rights as a blogger.

Today I came to know about a website named “electronic frontier foundation” whose main objective is to give bloggers a basic road map to the legal issues that may confront as a blogger, to let the bloggers know their rights, and to encourage them to blog freely with the knowledge that their legitimate speech is protected.

This website has all the Legal Guide for Bloggers, a collection of blogger-specific FAQs addressing everything from fair use to defamation law to workplace whistle-blowing.

Browse the website leisurely and share it with others.

Sell your blog content to SCOOPT.

I read somewhere about a new way of selling your blog content to Scoopt.

The method seems to be simple where no direct selling is required.
Just register yourself in their website, confirm your email, log in and add your blogs in your profile from the members’ area.

When you have done that, the system directs you to another page from where you are asked to copy a HTML code which turns to be for a small button.

This you insert in your blog. Scoopt’s team of editors will review your blog content and if they like it, they may decide to purchase. Scoopt will negotiate the price on your behalf.

There is also a referral commission offered. If you refer a friend to Scoopt, they will pay you 10% commission whenever they sell one of their pictures or video; a sort of commercial agent for your blog.

ScooptWords is working with Creative Commons to help you license your blog for both commercial and non-commercial use. So they recommend you to display both the ScooptWords button and the Creative Commons button.

They say that if you have a ScooptWords button prominently displayed on your blog and somebody copies your words for commercial use, they will fight for payment.

Earn by placing text links in your blog.

Yesterday, I stumbled on to a great website that offers money to place a text link of one of their clients’ in your blog.

I repeat mate, it is only a static html link; no graphics or java script. You are paid just to place a link and let it remain there till the contract period ends.

No pay per click or pay per impression criteria. You are paid instantly though paypal the moment the link is live. All of the links and related sites are to reputable finance web pages, with no illegal or obscene content.

Money4Blogs is run by Mike Day of Endsleigh Insurance, a UK based insurance company. The text links they buy are used to promote Endsleigh and other websites owned by The Endsleigh Group.

Acknowledgement: I was just offered $100 Read the full article here.

There are readers waiting to read your blog.

I think so far I have not touched this blog traffic exchanges.

I am a firm believer in the effectiveness of manual traffic exchanges.

Traffic exchanges is a sure fire way to get more readers to your blog.
The two most popular blog traffic exchanges that come to my mind are Blog Explosion and Blogazoo.

It doesn't require any money to join traffic exchanges and the the ork is very easy and fun too.

It works like this:
You sign up and add your blog to their network of blogs.
Then you log in and view others blogs by choosing the category you are interested in.
You are given some points to view others' blog and these points are then redeemed automatically by giving 'views' to your blog by other members of this traffic exchange site.

I am sure there may be other such free services and I will update my blog as and when I find.

Reuters has tied up with Pluck’s BlogBurst

For passionate internet marketers, the quest for new ways to attract visitors will never wane.

I do not consider myself as a passionate internet marketer but a passionate blogger.

I just simply derive immense pleasure when I learn something new and share it immediately.

So, I am sharing with you today a new method to increase your blog’s reach and readership by making your blog available to BlogBurst’s network of publishers.

To gain entry in to the publishers’ network, you need to submit your blog but only if it meets BlogBurst’s criteria.

Once you're accepted into the BlogBurst network, you are asked keep blogging as usual. When one of the publishers picks up your content, you'll reach a whole new audience — and your byline link will drive traffic to your blog.

I read a report in quick online tips that Reuters, one of the world’s largest providers of syndicated news, has tied up with Pluck’s BlogBurst, to help syndicate third-party blog content as part of Reuters news and information service.

I feel this a fantastic opportunity for our blogs to get international exposure via Reuters media partners worldwide.

Blogburst is reporting that on Reuters alone they are recording roughly one million headline impressions a day and post views of blog posts have more than doubled since Reuters started syndicating.

What is a Blogroll?

In most of the blogs you might have seen a link title ‘BlogRoll’ under which there are several links to other blogs.

By this way a blog owner has indicated that he is reading those blogs. This is also an opportunity to exchange links with those blogs he has mentioned under Blogroll.

This blogroll can be created by engaging the services of a professional link manager.

There are quite a few link managers but you must exercise caution while using a link manager.

A sudden burst of incoming links to your blog will make the search engine suspicious.

Paid to blog.

When I was going through the ‘blogging’ sub forum at the digital point,
I came across another opportunity to earn money from blogs.

The site is Review me.

If you have a blog with good PR and traffic, you can submit it to them to be accepted in to their network of bloggers.Once accepted, the first assignment you will be asked to do is to write a review about them.

Then advertisers that are registered with reviewme.com will view your blog and display a request to you to write a blog post about their products or services.Depending upon your blog’s status, you will be paid anything between $20 to $200 per blog post.Good rate per blog post really.

So, go ahead and give it a try.

Get paid to blog.

Performancing.com is a blog advertising network focused on bringing advertisers and bloggers together in partnership.

How it works:
Performancing Partners offers publishers a new, smart way to get paid for blogging. By placing the Partners code on your blog you open your site to a wide variety of advertisers whilst being free to concentrate on whatever you are doing.

Revenue share and residual income:
The revenue split is very simple with Performancing Partners, and it's geared toward rewarding publishers that stick with us, and refer others into the program.
The main points are these:
You take 70% of advertising revenue your blog generates.Performancing takes 30%You take 5% of income generated by any publisher or advertiser you refer to them.Partner payouts for referrals continue indefinitely providing both you and the party you referred are active in the program. This allows publishers to build up a strong residual income over time independent of their own blogs.

Promote your Blog on Washington Post.com
Visit the Washington Post Blogroll signup page and make sure you write a little about your blog, and what it can offer the readers in good English free of grammar and spelling mistakes.

Blogrolling - Link Management Tool for Bloggers
Blogrolling is a link management solution for your blog, which will help you manage your links, especially for those that are using Blogger, Live Journal etc but definitely not wordpress platform.

By this way you don’t have to edit loads of HTML code, which could mess up your theme, and cause you no end of problems – Blogrolling takes away all of that hassle.

Network with over 2 million members.

A blogger who is resolute in building up traffic to his blogs will never say 'NO' to any new method to increase visitors.

The next Carnival of Pregnancy is this Friday.

"If you have a post on anything pertaining to pregnancy (yours or someone else's) please go over to BlogCarnival and submit it!. All you need to do is fill out the easy form. All entries are due by Wednesday."

You can see many such announcements on the home page of blogcarnival.

I strongly believe this can be the top blog promotion method.

What is a Blog Carnival?
In short, a blog carnival is dedicated to a particular topic and anyone who has a blog post in that topic, can participate in the blog carnival by just submitting the pernmalink for his/her blog post.

In their words:
"A Blog Carnival is a particular kind of blog community. There are many kinds of blogs, and they contain articles on many kinds of topics. Blog Carnivals typically collect together links pointing to blog articles on a particular topic.

A Blog Carnival is like a magazine. It has a title, a topic, editors, contributors, and an audience. Editions of the carnival typically come out on a regular basis (e.g. every Monday, or on the first of the month). Each edition is a special blog article that consists of links to all the contributions that have been submitted, often with the editor’s opinions or remarks."

Ok, let me give you a few examples of blog carnival.
Carnival against child abuse at Survivors Can Thrive!
Carnival of the recipes at Morning Coffee & Afternoon Tea
Carnival of career intensity at The Career Intensity Blog

I agree with BC that blog carnivals are the best way for bloggers to recognize each other's efforts, and get to know each other in their niche.

So, when you browse through the huge list of carnivals, I am sure you will participate in many.

Big list of Blog Pinging Services.

I never assume my blog readers are highly experienced and 'know all' type.

That is why I do a little bit of research before introducing a new tool or service related to blogs.

What exactly happen when you Ping your blog?
Pinging lets the pinging services know that you have updated your blog and they can come to you blog, craw and get itself updated with your blog's content.

Like you, I too forget frequently to ping my blog but when I do, I use pingomatic only.
I am aware of a few other pinging services but I was surprised to learn that there about 11 such services when I stumbled onto another blog yesterday.(full credit given at the end of this blog post)

I quote from that blog:
"Remember pinging is important if you use feedburner feed since feedburner will come crawling around after you ping it and update your feed with the latest content. And based on its content other blog tracking services will update."

List of pinging services:

Pingomatic - the most popular. Pings several popular services and specialized services. Create a bookmark for each ping url.
Pingoat - Pings a huge collection of 52 blogging services, including special services and non English tracking services. You can easily select all services by selecting the category.

There is money for freelance writers in the Blogosphere.

Since May 2006, my efforts as a freelance blogger were rewarded financially as a paid blogger.

I have been writing about various blog avenues where you will be paid for your blogging skill.

But I know most of my blog readers have not taken advantage of this wonderful earning potential.

However, since my life principle is to share, I am introducing a new website that pays for your blog posts.

But this is not a ghost blogging opportunity. You need to be an active blogger and you have to submit your current blog urls for approval.

Once done, await for them to get approved with in a day. Then you can log in to your publisher account and browse through the assignments that are waiting to be picked by you.

The rate you are paid per blog post will depend on its current ranking and traffic.

What are you waiting for? Go to inblogads and register your account today.

Beginning of a long road in blog promotion.

The usual sentence will be ‘The end of a long road’, but I sincerely see this as a beginning.

Like me, many bloggers may not be aware of a new service from google. I accidentally stumbled on to this only a few hours ago.

It is about google’s blog search and pinging service.

Google says,” The Google Blog Search Pinging Service attempts to share its pings with the rest of the world.”.

By using their advanced search options, you can search blogs in 35 languages.

There is even a ‘safe search’ function to filter out adult content.

And the pinging service can be very useful to inform google about the updates on your blog. Remember to ping it whenever there is an update.

I would urge you to bookmark this and pass it on to your friends.

Increase your adsense revenue by 10 times.

When I started involving myself with adsense, I was earning zero for several months. (smile)

I promoted my website like crazy by submitting to directories, participated in nearly 50 forums (signature marketing) and saw the first few cents in my adsense account.

I am very familiar with blog promotion still nothing substantial in my adsense account.

One day I stumbled on a site called senserely.com, where you can blog and share the adsense revenue. It is completely legal and allowed by google.

The next day, my adsense money jumped satisfactorily. So I started searching for more adsense revenue sharing sites and ended up with 10 such sites with in a month.

In these sites, you can blog to your heart's content, put your adsense id# in your profile-thats all. Since sites like these have their own membership base, you get your blog posts viewd instatntly.

I am giving below some of my adsense revenue sharing sites below. You can join all of them free of of cost.

Real time most searched keywords.

I might have either downloaded or received as a gift, the list of high paying keywords or most searched keywords about 50 times since the past two years.

How about you?

Like most people, I never utilized that list due to reasons such as lack of time, lack of creativity to build content around those keywords or plain disinterest.

Today, I stumbled upon a blog that updates in real time the current top searched terms.

1. NFL
2. Ben Savage
3. Cartoon Network
4. Wikipedia
5. Lindsay Lohan
6. NASCAR
7. UFC
8. Beyonce Knowles
9. WWE
10. Jessica Simpson
11. Elin Nordegren
12. RuneScape
13. Fergie
14. Limewire
15. Halloween Costumes

For those who are interested only in highest paying keyword, Matt has not disappointed you.

He has listed 500 top paying keywords. He is updating it regularly so you can be sure that it is fresh.

As an example, I have listed below only 4 terms from his list.
$82.92 austin dwi
$78.01 school loan consolidation
$76.54 college loan consolidation
$74.93 car insurance quotes

I have subscribed to his blog.

Money by Blogging.

I am given to understand that there are 1 billion blogs.

How many of those blogs yield some revenue for its' authors?
No, I cannot guess but I am sure about an equal amount of money is produced from these blogs.

I can hear you ' Oh! Can I also be benefitted?'
Sure, why not?

But first, you should have passion for blogging without expecting anything from it.
Do you know the following?
Creating, editing a blog?
Adding adsense?
Editing templates?
Inserting links, RSS feeds and blog rolls?
Different methods to promote?
Social bookmarking?
Submitting to directories and search engines?
Signature marketing?

If not, I can teach you all these things for a small fee.
I can also help you how to earn more from adsense.
I will show you other avenues to earn from blogs.

If interested please contact me.

Blog and RSS directories-full list.

A big list of places to submit your blogs.

In my quest to make my blog popular, I have been submitting my blog to various blog directories.

In the process, I have started compiling a list of blog directories and RSS feed directories.
The list got lengthier with the help of few contacts from forums.

I ended up having 4 lists. But I did not devote enough time to remove duplicates and broken links and make a final list.

Keep smiling! I know that it applies to some of you as well.

So what will be our reaction if we get hold of one such complete list? Gratitude-right?

Here it is all yours. Pass it on; Share.

A blog that will announce your directory.

Ok, you have put in a lot of effort to build your web directory.
You might spent money to buy the script, hired a coder to build it for you.

'What next?' will be the question on your mind-right?

To start propagating it, you join a few forums like digital point, info.vilesilencer etc, announce your directory and solicit submissions.

Any other way to promote your directory?
Yes, blog about it in your blogs.
If you do not have a blog, approach this DP member, who generously offers to mention about your directory in his well read blog.

He has done it for me based on the information that I have provided.

I encourage you to try it.

Submit your videocast.

Through one of the RSS feeds I have subscribed to, I learnt about a new directory of RSS feed where you can submit your videocast.

You can find a lot of categories in their website.

For novices, who want to know more about videocast:

Also known as vodcast or video podcastn the term used for the online delivery of video on demand video clip content via Atom or RSS enclosure.

Subscribers can consume content on-demand and don't need keyboard or mouse interfaces to choose channels and items, much similar to zapping through regular TV stations, and new episodes show up automatically, so the technology is ideal for on-the-go (portable media players and mobile phones) and living room mass media consumption (TV), as demonstrated by the pioneers at vodcast.nl. Apple's Front Row media center application is the first to support this technology.

As per http://vodcast.nl, VODcasts are TV-channels with on-demand titles instead of scheduled shows. Subscribe once, and new episodes are added automatically.

Online photo sharing made easy with Scrapblog.

I recently visited a temple at Badrinath in the Himalayas at an altitude of 10,500 ft.
This is the most sacred temple for all Hindus.

I have taken nearly 700 photos of the mighty Himalayan hills and the turbulent Alaknanda river which followed me through out the entire journey up hills for 250 km.

I wanted to share my photos all at one place like showing an album. My search took me to a post by T. L. Pakii Pierce.
I wanted to find out more about this fantastic online photo sharing blog tool.
I visited the site atonce and viewed a few public scrap books. What I saw inspired me to share this with you.

More about scrapblog:
Scrapblog was founded by the same four partners of Nobox Marketing Group. Nobox is an award-winning interactive agency whose long-term clients include Toyota, Scion, Lexus, Verizon Wireless and Procter & Gamble.

I quote from their site:

“The idea for Scrapblog was born in San Francisco in October 2004. We wondered how photo sharing would evolve, now that many of the technical limitations of the Web are disappearing. After comparing a photo album to a scrapbook, we realized that the existing photo sharing sites are the online equivalent of the traditional photo album. So, we set out to take the craft of scrapbooking online!”

I will update this post when I have created my scrapblog.

A pretty useful tool for bloggers.

It seems this is my day to stumble onto useful blog tools.

I was searching for something else but God wanted me to look at this first.

When you sign up for this tool for free (paid versions are also availble for advanced features), you can add all your bog url and website url in your ‘Watch list’.

It then analyses your urls and informs you the following.

Incoming and outgoing links from top search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN;

Google and Alexa ranks, and how many have bookmarked you in Furl and Del.icio.us.

Another fantastic feature is they let you add them in your ‘link favourites’.

When you are on any website, just click on the ‘Urltrends’ button on your tool bar and bang! It generates a report that contains the following informations:
Trend Report For: http://www.xxxx.com

Great blog tracking tool.

Who doesn't want to know about who is your blog reader and where they are coming from!
The entire bogging community-right?

I just stumbled onto this site My Blogs

How it works.
I quote from their site:
'Tracking the missing link.
Real-time. Actionable. Transparent.
Where are your readers coming from? Where do they go when they leave your site? These are the core questions that every blogger needs answered in order to take part in the global conversation.
MyBlogLog provides you with answers quickly, quietly and efficiently. Our Outgoing Link Tracking shows you which links on your site are most compelling to your readers, enabling you to tune your content and keep readers coming back.

Our Real-Time Referrer service keeps track of who's linking to your site and gives you that information now, not tomorrow.'

We are asked to place a small java script in our blog template.

They offer a free and paid version.

If you try it, you can share your observations here for the benefit of other bloggers.

Useful blog tools for content.

I do not how many of us who are trying to earn from adsense, using these revenue sharing blogs, are accustomed to choose content for blogging from web feeds.

I find it always tough to select from a myriad web feeds. I tried google news for a week.
Then yahoo news poured into my browser for sometime. I must agree I found some breaking news from which I built a few articles. I can’t say for sure whether it helped my blog page views, but surely I gained some knowledge.

I am also using social bookmarking very frequently, both to tag it and to find tags of my interest.
My favorite tagging sites are:
Onlywire.com
Sphere.com

But I depend more on del.icio.us for finding latest information based on my favorite tags.
The content thus viewed is real time and dynamic. So let us call it ‘Live web’.

But we can get bogged down a bit by the constant flow of content from `Live Web' sources.
Ok, how do we tackle this information deluge? Let me discuss a set of tools created for helping us tame the live web.

I have used Google News effectively. You can clearly indicate what exactly you want to read about. In fact you can narrow your choice with exact keyword.

For example you can enter the key word ‘Secured server’, select the type of alert as ‘News and web’, set the frequency of alert to ‘as it happens’ or ‘once a day’ or ‘once a week’.

You can do so the same with yahoo news. I liked the layout of google news as convenient.

I thought Blogosphere, where thousands of bloggers discuss/disseminate latest news on almost every conceivable subject round the clock, is also a prominent constituent of the live web.

Tools developed for scanning the thousands of blogs and filtering out trends/relevant content will help you mine live web more efficiently.

I stumbled onto a site Memorandum, a blog aggregation tool that is now popular.
They deal with technology and politics as their main topics.

Kindly take a look at this free service offered by Immedi What is unique about this service is that it delivers your choice of feeds at your instant messenger like MS and AOL. Sorry, no yahoo messenger yet. You need not have to open your news reader, but only your selected IM.
A summary of updates on your favorite subjects/sites will fall on the IM client automatically as and when it happens.

Similar to RSS as your source of information and news, you can use social bookmarking sites effectively. The ‘Live web’ is not short of such great free services. These services thrive on user-generated content and closely monitoring the quickly changing content on them will help you keep up with the information race.

Like the majority of us, I use frequently the famous social bookmarking service Del.icio.us to get information on the latest sites being bookmarked by its users.

If you want to view the posts made in del.icio.us live, please visit Livemarks which acts like a real time surfer. It lingers around del.icio.us; gobble up bookmarks as soon as the users post them on to del.icio.us. It is really a fun to watch those tags pour in live in your browser.

Another social bookmarking site which I like is Wink Along with the tag-based search output, Wink provides normal Google web search results also.

So, if you find this article useful, why not share it with others?

Junk free feeds.

Are you a passionate and compulsive blogger?

There are so many web feeds available that we get confused at times as to what we should subscribe to?

And talk about the variety of tools to generate information like podcast, vlogs, Wiki etc.

Which one is good? I think almost anyone will satisfy our needs as long as we are clear about what topic we are subscribing to-right?

Still, do we read everything that comes to our news aggregator? Obviously not!
Why? Plenty of junk also creeps in. Agreed?

Ok, is there anyway, can we filter and reblog the content? Sure, there is a way.

http://reblog.org is our savior.

This site offers a fantastic tool (feed reader) by which you can republish relevant content from your RSS feeds. You can happily edit the content too.

This great blogging tool is offered free of cost.

Excellent Blog Search Engine

I stumbled onto this great useful site.
http://sphere.com

How do find good blogs in a specific topic? We open Technorati or Blogdigger etc and search for blogs dealing with a specific topic.

But Sphere is not just a blog search engine but offers something significance.
This is a search engine cum bookmarking site.

Like any bookmarking site, you add their tool "Sphere it" to your Links.

For example, you are reading this post and you go to your Links and click "Sphere it".
Now Sphere will analyse the content of this post, and presents you search rsults with links to other web sites that match the content of the page you are viewing currently.

Demo:
I sphered this post's permalink and immediately landed on this page:

You can also serach the Sphere with specific keywords.

Try it and you will realise its utility.
